Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I mean, some of them might indeed pan out, but on paper its not that impressive. I like young players, but you have two 20 year olds from the belgian league. Expecting ANY real contribution from that massive jump up(at their age) is very optimistic. Mandava hasnt been a starter for years. Adingra and Diarra are probably the competent ones they got, and I think theyd need at least 3 more GOOD signings to chance staying up.
They have done a lot more than us so far...as of today, they have a much better squad than we have.

He’s certainly versatile Maitland-Niles… in that he’s very average in a variety of positions
He’s actually very solid and dependable. You wouldn’t see him laying goals on a plate like we saw from Patterson on Saturday put it that way.

When we have such a small squad, having a player that can play right back, right midfield and centre midfield would be valuable. It’s not a sexy signing, but a sensible one IF there’s truth to it.

We’re not signing five or six players for 20/30/40 million.

You could argue he’d be a more shrewd signing than Tete even though Tete was a free. Niles is rarely ever injured unlike the Fulham man.

I did see that quite a lot when he was at Arsenal actually. Maybe he’s improved.
