Rate the lad but seems a high price for him, hopefully get for something like the barry deal that ends up at the price they want.

Mcatee will end up going to the club he wants to go, city won't force him into a deal even if higher that the lads not all for.

Xhaka deal is a strange one. You’d think he’d have better offers than Sunderland even in the prem, could have seen someone like Fulham or West Ham go for him, even United. Nothing even from Saudi.

He said in his interview he’s been dreaming of playing for Sunderland since he was a kid.

Nah mate, the interest in Neil was driven by Thelwell, for what it's worth i like Neil but think he's reached or close to it on his peak already and will struggle in the prem

Decent player, rarely injured, just think we need someone with a little more quality than him as he's much the same level as a Jimmy Garner

He's one of those meh signings, which means it will probably happen. He's got that experience Moyes was banging on about. Not a transfer to get the juices flowing, however.

Just saw that and had a look at his stats. Looks very ordinary for that kind of money. His digits aren’t particularly great.

Let's look at this logically......

They bought him for 30mil at the age of 23. In 7 seasons he played almost 300 games for Arsenal.

They sold him for 21.4mil at the age of 30 with one year left on his contract to Leverkusen.

I think any side outside of the big 6 generally could have gone for him, and Sunderland have jumped in there.

Not bothering commenting on your Ballon d'Or take.
