Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I'd probably take El Khannous over McAtee anytime. McAtee is ofc home grown, which is a big plus, but El Khannous is the better player I'd say. Have tbh though, seen al lot more of El Khannous than I did of McAtee.
Mate am neither here nor there over McAtee.

The lad looks like he's got good feet but for a team that's absolutely littered with slugs,he's not got that explosive pace we need and he'll I personally believe * as I sit here with a pint resting on my belly * fall into the slug category.

Is he actually? I keep seeing this being bandied about but is it just waffle? Where’s the link?
I misstepped with my assertion as he isn't leading per say as he is seems to be integral with the process.

from an athletic article in June still pretty vague

Moyes will be key in this window and the ones to follow, but Everton’s aim has been to put in place a robust, talented structure for the long term — one that does not depend solely on any one manager or individual. They are now close to having all the pieces in place.

You’re not wrong, and we need pace, but assuming we get some pace elsewhere he’d be a good upgrade in the 3 of a 4-2-3-1.

He’s one of those players where I won’t be fussed if we get him, but will be absolutely enraged when he goes to Forest.

Fair enough. Someone needs to tell Zat this cos he somehow holds Moyes below Netanyahu in the baddy stakes

Would see McAtee as more of an attacking midfielder than a winger. El Khannous I've seen plenty of times at Genk. He always stood out as a very special talent. Not really followed him at Leicester, but that boy has bags of talent and potential.

I've watched bits of him and he can beat a man over the first 5 yards with his feet but after that you need that pace to follow through.

We need players who can carry the ball forward at pace on the wings especially ones that will complement Barry's attributes.

Slow build up play with his back to ain't going to do it, we'll need balls in from the byline in and around the 6 yard box.

Bakayoko was ideal for me but alas.

At that sort of money, they should go and sign Akliouche from Monaco. He's better than El Khannous.
