Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Mina was great but he was still a £30m signing that left for free. Bernard was our highest earner while contributing little on the pitch and we struggled for 2 years to get rid of, so I don’t think you can say those signings didn’t contribute to our financial problems.

Must admit I enjoyed watching Bernard play, would pay towards his wages to have him back over Jack Harrison.

Everton have shown they are capable of signing terrible players on any given day of a transfer window. It would be nice though, if we had a competitive squad on day 1 of the season for a change.
Yeah this is why I don't understand the patience argument. Most of our business in recent years has been at the last minute. And I think we would all be in agreement that most of our recruitment in the last 5 or 6 seasons has been pretty poor - some of it has been dreadful nevermind poor.

The club need to start making progress and finalising deals. Otherwise this is no different to previous seasons and we will not be ready for the new season yet again. I keep saying it, but we haven't won an August league game in 4 years. That's all the evidence we need to show our strategy of waiting till the end of August is a very bad strategy and doesn't work.

Guys don't pin your hopes on Kubo rocking up.

100% mate, the other thing that would help us at full back would be our wingers asking more question of the oppotition full back particularly down the right hand side. To many times last season the opposition full back could get down our right hand side, for the overload, which essentially meant we needed our right winger to be a hybrid full back, enter Jack Harrision.

If we have more threat down down the flanks, we isolate the opposition full back to defensive duties and create distance between the opposition full back and winger. Hopefully thats something we are thinking about. ;)
This is very true.

the ONLY downside of this for me would be that Mkyo's lack of attacking threat/on the ball ability would be even more glaring than it is now.

would be a great issue to have though, given we currently don't even have an effing RW/RF at present lol

If he is our number 1 target, unless sociedad are telling us a firm no, then he is still in play.

We could go and get someone not deemed as good sooner, but surely you work on your number 1 target until you know it’s not possible.

If the club is being better run, as I believe it is, we should have things in place/underway for our number 2 target but until the first target is not in play anymore, we should be waiting.

It’s why I’m not stressed about the signings. We will get people in, but I’d rather get the top targets then just bringing in 4th or 5th targets just because they could be in right this second.
I remember when they tried to replace Coleman, Kenny, Martina, and Sidibe later and he was still first choice. He’s also outlasted Young. Myko could be here for a while yet.

The #Everton, apart from clubs in #LaLiga, is interested in Adam #Aznou.
The #Bayern full-back's contract ends in 2027.
His release price is set at €7M.
An open matter, with the #Toffees strongly entering the race.
#Maroc #BayernMünchen

Seems to be a 7m Euros release clause. Buttons basically.

Travers was negotiated with little fuss and delay for not much less. Personal terms at this age shouldn't be an issue either. However, depending on his personal family situation, family members may have a say in his decision too.

All that said if Everton are serious and want this done, there is nothing really to stop it happening reasonably swiftly.
