This is why I didn’t want Moyes back, I can be arsed with his dithering.
Also he is a defensive coach, not as bad as dyche, but he is. Hopefully he was appointed as a steady hand IE Ranieri at Roma and the recruitment team are already looking at his long term replacement
Has it been said that it is moyes causing us to be slow in talks for players, like the barry deal was about us not wanting to pay the full amount was not on moyes.

He was never the long term solution, he was brought in because the previous manager had dragged us until a relegation dogfight with 3 of the worst teams that have ever graced this league. I would like to think he’d have been made aware when he was appointed that the recruitment team were going to be tasked with the long term planning as far as transfers go.

Them across the road tragically lose a striker what do they do
Go out and get a replacement within several weeks !

Don't think we can use that example to beat Everton with.

Special circumstances will apply I would imagine where it does not count in their figures due to insurance exemptions etc, In that resiect, they can go out and buy without the usual considerations.

I think that's fair too to any club faced with such a horrible situation, that they should not be penalised negatively affecting their transfer business in that window.

Of course you have to have the clout to get a player to join you too, a challenge we are naturally facing now.

Our situation is due to our lack of recent sporting success and gross mismanagement of the club, not due to the loss of life.
