Genuinely interested to hear people’s thoughts on why Moyes has not provided any post match comments after the last two friendlies? Twitter is awash with PL managers discussing their teams run outs and what recruitment is needed etc

Is it a case of keeping everything tight to avoid anything getting out?

Or

Is Moyes becoming disillusioned/angry by the pace of recruitment and been told ‘if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all’

Either way, it’s unusual.

So we agree? Calling the window a failure before it’s over, getting worked up about things you can’t influence, assuming they aren’t grafting behind closed doors to get it right won’t change a thing.

Of course, this is a football forum not a board meeting. Nothing that any of us say in here makes the slightest bit of difference to anything the club does, we all know that. Do you think you repeating that everyone is doing their best and we’re going to end up having a wonderful window with rainbows and unicorns everywhere will just make it happen, or are you for some reason assuming that you’re the only person in the world who’s realised they’re not actually responsible for Everton’s transfer dealings?

It is unusual.

The only time I remember Moyes kicking off in a pre season was maybe 08-09 (might be a year out either side).

Kenwright shut him up by giving him a new deal at the time but he is capable of of showing his frustration.

I can only imagine he’s not happy I mean why would you be, he’s come back to win and so far he’s not being provided the tools to do so.

He’s probably thinking I best say nothing, but it is a little unusual why he hasn’t given any post match comments.

Id say if they get away with it they prob don't do media mate, my understanding is they are contracted to do media as part of their contracts with clubs pre and post games - its part of thr PL TV rights deal and a club responsibility. Then there are different deals with FA CUP etc.

Id say we will hear more from him next week on tour that's live on Sky so as part of that deal id say the club signed up for hm to do media.

Tbh i think kubo is probably our third choice RW option.

As apparently we were after bakayoko and activated conceicao's release clause. So it feels like we are moving down the list of right wingers.

With the likes of mcatee and luiz, i think people need to understand that these players have plenty of options. So if they're the players we want were going to have to wait fot them to decide where their going (hopefully us).

Id rather wait to get the right player in then end up with another maupay just because their available right now.

Think was just the price so we had to really go in for him similar to delap/ barry situation. Just hope we can see quality come in, think once we see that will help us fans be more calm about the rest of the window

Just hope if everton was to get him the plan is not to have him a the rm target. Dont mind him as more cover for it as need another attacking mid. But would prefer two natural wingers if we can get them in.

Moyes will talk when it suits him. He’s not some fresh faced young hipster manager desperate to get his face known. If he has something to say, good or bad, he will say it when he judges it to be appropriate.

That’s a given though isn’t it? People don’t just want us to sign anybody, they want us to sign good players. This ‘I’m dead zen about it me, everything will work out perfectly’ attitude that some people like to portray is a bit weird.
