Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Same and if honest i was a person who was pushing to get him just far to much money. Think is a solid player nothing special and i would have still wanted us to get out next summer and get a better rb. And as you said cant really have a 90k week rb sitting on the bench is a waste of money. Think for now lb cm rm all should be ahead of getting a rb in unless a good deal i still think could get one late in the window
Aye, agree that RM/CM and a backup lb or starter are way higher priorities right now.

People kinda forget that what fullback you want will kinda depend on what winger you have in front as well, until we sort out that right side spot i'd much rather we didn't bring in some random right back who may not link up well whatsoever with the winger.

Moyes as a rule tends to have one fullback overlapping and the other more defensive at every club he's been at. I'd be shocked if that changes - mykolenko has tried to be the attacking one but not his game really as he's better defensive as ofc is O'Brien. So yeah think we will try to bring in one fullback who is naturally good overlapping but not a priority for this summer - reckon we will see more cover than starter coming in.

I'm not fussed, the more time has gone on I've concluded he'd be a decent bench warmer for a team with an established FB, coming on now and again. I don't think he'd be a Baines level FB for us. I'm happy to bide our time and get it right rather than panicking over a free transfer with massive wages
