Don't think its a case they can't think its more they are told not too tbh. Banging crosses into a target man is a fairly predictable way of playing and its not hard to play against either, very few teams still deem it a useable tactic. If we have genuine ideas of Europe we will have to offer more in play, we will have too be able to mix it up a bit more than just playing balls in from out wide. Its why Id prefer Ndiaye playing through the middle running at the opposition CB's, he isn't especially creative and never has been so is wasted out wide and isn't the quickest. Put McNeil back on the left for his crossing (or better still replace him with some pace) and get a proper threat on the right side, I like the idea of McAtee as he floats about which disrupts backlines as they never know whether to stick with the player or not. That sort of slightly unpredictable/creative type would be great on the RW imo.

IMHO Di Marzio, who hosts a daily transfers news show on Sky and must open it with a "strong story" every night, has followed this reasoning pattern: - Roma want Wesley but can't outbid the competitors --> TFG owns both Roma and Everton --> let's say Everton will buy the player for Roma.
I'm not saying Everton and Roma won't cooperate, but this move seems fake. Perhaps Di Marzio doesn't even know Everton's situation.
