…going on loan isn’t some magical arrangement where he plays 30 games, first of all a club has got to want him and secondly he’s got to earn his game time. Football is so competitive, points are vital and Managers will only want and play defenders they can trust.

Don’t be naive.

Deals happen where players have to play a certain amount of games.

Patterson starts every week in the SPL or Championship.

Shop window opportunity. As it stands, he’ll be leaving on a free.

Need sell him what is his value now on the books maybe 3/4 mill would expect some teams interested in that.

I wouldn’t know, I’ve hardly seen the kid play.

….somebody might take Patterson but I very much doubt any club will guarantee him games, certainly not in the Championship. We’ve had Ross Barkley and Anthony Gordon struggle for games on loan in the Championship.

It’s not naive, it’s reality. Everton will want part of his wages off the books. I do think it’ll be more difficult finding a club for Chermiti, if he’s offered out I wonder if he might end up back in Portugal.

Chermiti almost went out on loan last season IIRC.

You'd have to rule out Rio Ave, Estoril and Vitoria de Guimaraes straight away. Sporting, Benfica, Porto and even Braga wouldn't want Everton's 3rd choice striker demanding games, either.
