There's a weird recency bias/forgetfulness with Mitrovic. He's not a bad player but people keep talking about it like he's a guarantee of goals when there's only his most recent season in the league that was particularly good, and even that included 4 pens in his 14.

Some lad I know has the premium subscription and he says he said that on his podcast that is all.

I wish we would look further a field at times for signings but McAtee every time I have seen him play am like he's a future England regular. His goal against Palace I think it was in the league was something else, the touch and then the composure to then finish.

Has Pep ever mentioned where he sees him playing positionally long term?

In only 24 games though. I’d definitely take him if the price was ok. Has certainly been prolific at a lower level before and since.

On the flip side, Doak, McAtee, Woltermade, Diomande, Barry, Hume all fit the profile everyone apparently wants. ‘Young and hungry’ (whatever that actually means) and they’ve also been linked recently.

Where did Mitrovic come from? The ones listed above are all at least Athletic/Bobble. I’m more inclined to believe what they discuss than anything from TalkSport or [Poor language removed] like that

If the talk around Tuchel trying to influence his future is true that would be annoying. Tuchel has no place in trying to influence Branthwaite's future - he is the England manager, not our manager.

Any England manager should be over the moon that 1 club has your best Keeper best CB and another CB who's already gotten international caps, an international managers dream. They know each other they understand each others game you can't coach that it develops over time, also the team has the 4th best defensive record in the PL, he should be starting those 3 instead of trying to unsettle one of them. A kicking is what he needs.
