That is such an honour to be asked and it sounds like you are exactly suited to the role. Lots of luckLittle decision made over the weekend that excites me and scares me in equal measure. Gaelic football is my passion. I played a decent level and have coached from U10 to Senior Reserve over the years. I decided this year to take a year out as Iām flat out with work and have 2 sons to watch etc.
A good mate in another club has roped me into helping out with their GAA For All programme. A team for kids and young adults with disabilities. Maybe group is a better descriptior than team as we wonāt really play a match but get everyone to participate in an event to celebrate our sport. To celebrate our GAA community.
These kids play at half time in the big events and all of them have a big day out in Croke Park every year. Fantastic initiative to further build community links and get everyone involved.
Every team I have coached before has a kid with additional needs but new territory to have have the whole squad like that. Privileged to be asked is the only way to look at it. Iām buzzing![]()
I've not been on here for a minute and this is the first post I see and it warms the heart. You're a top fella AT.Little decision made over the weekend that excites me and scares me in equal measure. Too kind Val. Itās what you do here. My Fore brothers and sisters showed the way and nurtured me into the GAA and itās our duty to give the same opportunity. Most of our kids wonāt ever kick a ball for Seniors, or wear Orange, but we will help every one of them to find the right path and contribute to their community. That is such an honour to be asked and it sounds like you are exactly suited to the role. Lots of luckand I bet it will be so rewarding. The kids are lucky to have you.
That sounds like a great initiative and right up your street. Wishing you best of luck, not that I think you need it.Little decision made over the weekend that excites me and scares me in equal measure. Gaelic football is my passion. Hey guys. Hope you're all good and enjoyed the win today. Nice end to the season. Just chilling out enjoying a nice Malbec whilst watching a programme on the Isles of Scilly. Really makes me wish I was back there. Magical place.
Happy Sunday folks, we have relatives over from Glasgow, Itās Mrs DE aunty and there is only 4 months age difference, but itās good being a tourist guide every now and then,
Took them to an Elvis tribute act, normally not a fan but this bloke was excellent
Adam Fitzpatrick check him out
Do you think it could be your aftershave AT ,we can't get TFG over to Goodison either !Lovely day in Armagh City yesterday. Full house and brilliant to see the bars and chippys rammed pre game. The trade a major game brings in for local businesses canāt be underestimated.
Our game was ānotableā as the first GAA game the Communities Minister has attended. Unbelievable that he has been in post well over a year yet just graces us with his presence now

Gordon Lyons: DUP minister to attend first senior GAA match
Before watching the match, Gordon Lyons said he was demonstrating his commitment to all sports in Northern Ireland.www.bbc.co.uk
I spent an evening each week with children who had terrible problems and it has given me joy for the rest of my life ,I remember one boy who could kick a ball so high but the thing was it came straight down to him again ,I mean 40 foot high at least . The joy and satisfaction they will get from it will cure all your ills ,well done that man.Little decision made over the weekend that excites me and scares me in equal measure.
