My grandson is having similar difficulties with his meagre benefits.Morning, I do get limited capacity for work payments, I just don't get PIP, so I'm not on basic benefits completely. I'm sure Starmer will be gunning for me soon enough. I'm already on tenterhooks whether or not I will have these payments stopped. I can't work it's physically and mentally just not an option. I wish I could work trust me.
Hope everyone is well, I have a stonker headache again, pretty fed up with them and they've really affected me mentally. I don't have the strength for this much longer.
Good morning all , afternoon @peteblue life is so hard when you cannot sleep well .
Stay strong @Terrarian we need you posting on here as said you must be a pain in the asre to get what you need if you are up for it I am sure someone on here would do the harder bits in contacting the doctor / surgery if that is what is stopping you as I know with a constant headache it must be hard to concentrate .
To the rest of the regulars I hope you are all well or getting better and have a great day today .
On another note we got dumped out of the ice hockey and it came out in the press that Finland's goalkeeper ( ice hockey -keep up ) has signed a contract to play in the US for 52 million dollars . So much for a minority sport .
A win today for us would be great .COYB
I do so hope you are feeling better this morning. You may not think you have the strength but believe me you do. Keep on at the GP, painkillers didn’t work for me, and I tried many. The GP prescribed beta-blockers in an effort to stop the headache before it started and they worked for me. I don’t know the cause of your headache but probably a different approach may work for you, too. Don’t get me started about the government- I am one of the WASPI women. I wrote to our MP as part of the campaign to restore our pension. I lost two years nowhere near as bad as some but still it annoys the hell out of me. I received a patronising reply - not enough money, black hole in finances blah blah, pensioners will be protected by triple lock etc. fine but I just want my money, you know that money the government robbed and it’s your chance to right a wrong. Sorry I’m sure you don’t need me ranting this early in the morning. Love to you and Daisy Beagle.Morning, I do get limited capacity for work payments, I just don't get PIP, so I'm not on basic benefits completely. I'm sure Starmer will be gunning for me soon enough. Hope you’re feeling better soon. We are not on TV as far as I can see - not sure who is.Morning everyone,
Feel really poo with this virus. It's nothing terrible just devoid of any energy and a bit of d cough
Cricket club is having a fundraising day today - Prosecco Rounders - and for some strange reason Mrs J who has no interest whatsoever in sport says she might come down. I suspect the clue is in the title and no T it isn't the Rounders bit.
Sadly the weather isn't playing ball. It's dry at the moment but freezing and blowing a gale.
So after showing my face for an hour back to watch the final round of matches. Are they showing us v Newcastle? If not they usually have the goals as they go in so maybe popping to Sid James Park fairly often.
Anyway it's a cause for celebration with the final appearances of the likes of Young , Doucoure and Keane and probably DCL - sorry Anje.
Well whatever you do, have a lovely day everyone.
So sorry you have lost out on your holiday and money. As you say the op is more important but it’s still frustrating all the same.Evening all I hope you are all well. I too have had grandma duties today- Josh and Beth brought her to visit and they looked so exhausted that I sent them to bed and me and G took her for a walk to see the horses in the field near us. You forget what it’s like to have a baby that doesn’t sleep all night.
I’ve been really frustrated by easyJet today. Should have been flying to Kos next weekend but obviously with Garry’s op being on the 5th we can’t go. I’ve tried to swap the flights to this time next year which they can do for the outbound flight but not the return one as the flights back are not available to book unless you have booked a package with a hotel. So there are 4 flights that I could come back on but I’m not being allowed to book it. These will only be available to book in September. I’ve spoken to a virtual assistant (not human), a virtual real person online and a real person on the phone and it’s like banging my head against a brick wall. We’ll just end up cancelling and losing our money which is a pain. Heartbroken not to be going but perspective needed - G’s knee is more important.
Hope everyone who’s watching enjoys the game tomorrow![]()
Thanks G, my headaches stem from my neck, I have degenerative disc disease and it causes all sorts of side issues, mainly the nerves and muscles around the base of my neck, I have nerve damage and it causes my muscles to be extremely tight which gives me tension headaches. It is all linked.I do so hope you are feeling better this morning. You may not think you have the strength but believe me you do. Keep on at the GP, painkillers didn’t work for me, and I tried many. Hope you feel better soon and isn’t it good to be in mid - table obscurity for a change? Shows how far my expectations have dropped.Morning everyone,

I might have a solution T go to the doctors and play that music until they treat you .Surely that will show you mean business .Thanks G, my headaches stem from my neck, I have degenerative disc disease and it causes all sorts of side issues, mainly the nerves and muscles around the base of my neck, I have nerve damage and it causes my muscles to be extremely tight which gives me tension headaches. I have to say though that it's worse now than I can recall, I just don't seem to get any respite from them and tension headaches hurt, a lot. So glad that noise doesn't affect it, I'd be lost without music.
Rant away G, Labour is making life difficult for a multitude of people, except the immigrants. they get 5 star hotels. Starmer was a human rights lawyer, it was always going to be this way, not sure why people thought a lefty lawyer would kick out illegals.
Sorry you are poorly. Prosecco is very good medicine!Morning everyone,

I was only saying that yesterday- they’re so much easier when you can control their movementsSo sorry you have lost out on your holiday and money. As you say the op is more important but it’s still frustrating all the same.
Glad you had some time on grandparent duties, they are lovely at that age, you don’t have to run round after them so much.![]()
