Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Seems to be linked with every PL club at the moment, agent playing a blinder.
He ain’t a patch on Philogene’s agent who rocked up at Barcelona last season, and they didn’t have a jar of glue who he was. He then put all pictures of himself up on Instagram, strutting around Finch Farm pretending to talk on his phone, yet his phone was off. Got his dough when he pushed him towards Ipswich, with an extra few £££, so job done I suppose, but he’s a mongrel nonetheless. Not quite Odemwingie levels

It's interesting that a lot of the frees seem to be about age - I guess difficult to get a transfer fee for.
yep - there's a big risk that some of those fall off a cliff edge performance right and then the club is left holding the bag. Most would get a one year offer no problem, but they probably want a two or three and who can blame them as it's their last contract at this level.

The rs are taking a calculated risk with Salah and Van Bader but then you have to guess some retirement league will be willing to shell out just on their names.

To be fair it sounds as though virtually every player bar DCL and Gana has been offered vastly reduced terms to reflect their actual value. I seriously doubt either Keane or Doucoure will stay.

Honestly I don’t think any of the above 4 will be here next season for various reasons.
I really hope so because it’s not even about value, it’s about keeping the ceiling of the squad at its currently level. Barring Gana (and maybe Young as back up), all of the out of contract players need serious upgrade. Them staying at the club and getting serious minutes (a la Moyes) keeps us exactly where we are.

I’d agree, though I’d perhaps add DCL as his all round game does tend to make us play better. He won’t stay based on his bird though.

My big worry is if Gana chooses to leave, and I expect he will as otherwise he probably would’ve signed by now, we’ll panic and cave to the likes of Doucoure who is incredibly limited. I’m not sure I can stomach another season of watching him in the #10. He’s on £120k-£130k p/w too and he’s worth about half that.

The absolute worst part about this is how very easy it is to imagine happening.

And you just know that Moyes would play Doucure.

Will be interesting to see the Newcastle line up because it shouldn’t include any players he played v Southampton to give them a Goodison farewell.

Don't think so, Young told the Bobble he was wrong on twitter

and DCL would've started against Southampton if he was considered the number 1. Beto is more of a goal threat, and to me, he's improving some other parts of his game, his attitude is also considerably better
You do realise it was tongue in cheek? It’s one thing wanting to stay at a club and another agreeing terms that suit your needs on the pitch and satisfying financial terms. I’m not sure Moyes could have been any clearer or complimentary towards Young. Young wants to play and with our ‘plan’ for the summer (all being well) means it would be limited for him on top of different terms. Young doesn’t want to retire either. Fair play to him.

Ignore the mob on Twitter mate. Basic reading comprehension is utterly lost on loads of people these days..

I would like to see what out of contract players are staying by the end of the week.

I think Gueye and DCL will stay but Keane could play more for a lesser club.

Doucoure isn't budging on money and I think at 32 it's not right.

On Coleman will have to see what this latest injury is because we have to stop being sentimental and be realistic, I know we want him to stay on but in the last 2 years, he has been nowhere near the level. Moyes might want him but I think with Goodison going and some easy Ireland internationals, I think he should leave the game before the game leaves him.

If your gonna be desperate to put yourself out there as first and fastest regarding leaks then I’m afraid you need thicker skin
You’re very much obsessed with me. No one has any right to abuse anyone. And let’s be straight, abusing me (who does the exact same as others including journalists) given my track record is laughable. Go outside and feel the breeze mate, it’ll do you some good.
