If Transfermarkt is anything to go by, his value hasn't increased too much since they signed him either - €50m versus €45m?

That’s almost exactly half what he’s apparently on with us. I can’t see Mr “I deserve a pay rise” being chuffed with that.

True. Could be a number of different factors too I guess, length of contract, differing tax rates etc. If he wants to go trot about in the desert then so be it. Just wish the Saudis had come calling a year ago and slung us a fee.
