Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

If you listen to what he said on Football Focus you can easily read the direction of travel we're heading in this summer. The dog whistles are already out there: "The Friedkins will give us some money, but spending gets this club into trouble".

He's telling you well in advance to expect not much.
Dave, if you understand anything about how Kinnear works it will be him calling the shots not Moyes.

Lol

Omg you really have to find any angle to attack him don’t you?

He’s being calm and collected and down playing it .

What you want him to say .

We are loaded la and are gonna be spending big .. like really big … to all you soft clubs out there … add an extra 10m to your players because I’m going to make the Moshiri era look like we were shopping at Oxfam
I doubt he cares one way or the other. He's just desperately seeking attention, as usual.

I agree mate, I don't think it will be long before they start clashing heads in a similar way to how it played out at West Ham.
The frightening thing for me is that TFG look to have brought in a manager and CEO who dont want to spend cash.

We're in desperate need after utterly butchering this squad for years of a massive injection of cash in the first team.

Things will crack here at this club quicker than it did under Moshiri.

I'd bank on that.

Kinnear and his team will spend, Leeds did some cracking work in the market over recent years I'm not worried about him tbh, it will be Moyes and his dithering that may pose problems. He won't get weeks to sit there mulling over a player, he will have days to decide on someone otherwise the decision will have to taken out of his hands. That for me is when the grumbling will start. We will see in the summer.

Moyes was interviewed live on football focus on Saturday and said there would be money to spend

My main concern is whether we will have a squad ready for the first few games of the season. We haven't won a match in August in what feels like years.

Last year was an utter joke. A completely shambolic preseason where the signings were late, then the manager wouldn't use them, the team were unfit and there were injuries, our pre season matches weren't taken seriously, and our first few results were abysmal.

I want to see action early in the summer. A bad pre season very often results in a bad start. It's not a coincidence and how we play in pre season matters.

Yet again Dave, you are disguising opinion as fact. Thats YOUR interpretation of what Moyes said, that does not mean it’s true. Every manager is coy when pressed on transfers, why on earth would we show our cards, resulting in an extra few million being added to price of targets. Moyes was put on the spot when the question was posed to him, he simply done what every manager would do, and remain coy and non committal. Your glass half empty mindset to all things Moyes/Everton is a little odd, as you seem unwilling to give them time to show what they can do this summer. Your have already made your mind up on the Friedkins too, so you’ve nailed your colours firmly to the mast it seems.

The bits I read from Leeds fans were that they weren't happy with him in their transfer dealings. 🤷‍♂️

Of course it's my opinion. 🤷‍♂️
