Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Not in every case, but pace in the Prem is a huge plus. Spending 30 million for a striker is a lot for us. Rather than 30 million for one we should be looking for three for around 10 each. We seem to turn our nose up at young strikers scoring in Belgium,France, Switzerland etc. Time maybe to rethink our scouting.

Chermiti was 10m range. I was hoping we'd see more of him from March onwards but Moyes dosen't seem keen. Two years in and still no real idea if he's prem quality. Perhaps if he wasn't injured he'd have been loaned out in January.

Didnt think to much of Delap v us at all considering we want him. Only thing he did well was try to wind our players up, and get lucky maybe not to geta 2nd yellow. Enisco thought i thought was very good
We have made the mistake of buying players who have a decent game against us too many times.

He is another player that Brighton are going to do someone over for more money than he is worth.

Time will tell with him, because we haven't seem a lot of him it's hard to gauge, but he doesn't look to have a lot of pace. I've seen Barry for instance a couple of times this season and for a big lad he's rapid. Got a good opportunist goal today. There must be others in Europe.

I mean. This is his 3rd season in the PL. we need to be finding these players before Brighton get them and taking the low cost risk. Rather than shelling an extortionate amount to Brighton.
I agree mate but you need to be prepared to take a risk to get a player like that and we just won't do that imo. I don't think it was Thelwells way and it certainly isn't Moyes (I know we haven't been exactly loaded in recent times but we have still chosen to look in the top 5 leagues by and large(more expensive)) However Leeds had an interesting take on recruitment and if those couple of guys come with Kinnear then it will be interesting to see what they come up with.

I did see something about us looking to bring in a data company to support recruitment which I assume is similar to Brighton’s setup anyway. So maybe we are trying to get ahead of the curve in that sense.

Some tentative links to Gabriel Sara on some of those clickbait websites

Was brilliant for Norwich a couple of seasons ago (13 goals and 12 assists) so knows English football. Had another good season at Galatasaray (2 goals and 6 assists)

Reports are he wants between £120,000-£150,000 a week wages. Not sure we would be wanting to offer that with the rebuild we are looking at but then if DCL thinks he’s worth £100,000 a week it’s not a whole lot more for a better striker.

Rather give him a 10m signing fee and wages of 80k

If we put him on 150k a week and he ain’t a success we will never be able to sell ala bolasie , Morgan, Walcott, tuson, holgate etc

I haven't followed Buonanotte at Leicester, but I knew he was pretty good at the start at Brighton? Stats at Leicester don't look vg, but might he be someone to worth looking in case he's not planned at Brighton next season?

Right sided player and most look awful for leicester. Only one i took notice of was El Khannouss who has potential.

Moyes at Everton had Bowen one side and then Said Benrahma as the inconsistent creative spark. He was in/out but had decent seasons in terms of goals and assists for West Ham which was important as they struggled to find a prolific striker.

I can't believe once Harrison goes back the first signing won't be anything out but a rapid right winger as someone like Bowen can get you up the pitch so quickly if you're under pressure and need an outlet.

I see Tom Fellows scored a couple today for West Brom but is he that quick, that would be my only reservation if he isn't so I'd like a more proven player in from abroad who has pace to burn and then you work on their end product in training.

I dont think we need searing pace, it would be great but high technical quality players with a will to win would also serve us well.

Fellows doesnt hold a candle to someone like Rayan Cherki. Moyes probably goes for Fellows but i think we need someone on the right who elevates players around him.

I would definitely swap Ndiaye and Charly. Let Illy work in isolation like he does best and let Charly start the quick counters

Left Ndiaye
Centre: Alcaraz
Right: McNeil

I like this and while we need 2 players to rotate in/out with them, its something to build on.
