2024/25 Harrison Armstrong

Send him to Wrexham on loan

I’m sure rob and Ryan are good mates with the friedkins
He would actually fit well as a deep midfielder in Phil Parkinson’s system, but he’s good enough to be in our 1st team squad next season, my only wee doubt is if we have the coaches to develop him if he’s not playing regularly. See how he does pre-season and who we buy. Just don’t cock this up Everton, very few 17 year olds, as he was then, make as rapid progress as he has the past 12 months, he’s a special talent.

I think Wrexham would surely struggle in the championship.

Would be nice to see Armstrong in a team where he can be more attack minded.

Perhaps Ipswich?

Actually giving himself a shot at the team next year. Proud of him and hope he shows up in preseason. We need all the talent we can get.
Had gone up so many levels in a short space of time and taken every one in his stride, it’s not impossible to see him getting good minutes in the PL next season. Sometimes when a kid’s on a rocketing trajectory like he is you just need to keep that going even if the “sensible” thing would be a championship loan.

Given chances in pre season it’s not hard to see him pushing himself past the likes of Tim or Garner in the pecking order.

A lot of the hype has been for his defensive work too. I did not see that coming at all. I could not have seen him picking that up at Everton. The move seems a blessing. He may be one of the biggest reasons they stayed up. I'm sure they are clamoring for another loan.
