I thought he played well too. I just don't think he's cut out for anything above a bottom half Premier League team always threatened by relegation.

The main criticism I have of him is lack of right foot. All crosses in and his goal he did what he had to do to kick left. He either needs to always be on the left or train night and day until he has a right foot as well.

Standards have been eroded so much. Under Moyes 15 years ago the majority of these players would've been nowhere near our club. Now we're relying on them to win us games.

That’s it 100%. We’ve gotten so used to accepting well below mediocrity that we can’t even appreciate how far we’ve sunk and how hard it’s going to be to overcome the gap and strides made by other clubs during the same period.

For me just find it crazy the lack of goals it is insane. Used to get all around the team like is the midfield this season even over 15/20 goals betweeen all of them. Been a horrible time at the club becuase of lack of transfers and being stuck with the squad. Is why i out mcneil as one id give a chance but we need everyone of them to step up

I’d still back Arteta Pienaar Cahill Osman and Baines as they are now to have more possession than this current Everton midfield. The drop off is absolutely massive compared to where we used to be, and even those teams were only good enough for Europe league standard.
