Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

based on what I am seeing and hearing here and in other places, it seems like we need anywhere from 5-10 players this summer.

For me, I think we need to prioritise in the following order:

1: fast, pacey wingers x 2
2. A striker
3. Right back
4. Central midfielder who is a box to box style player

All of the above sadly need to essentially be starting 11 standard.

Beyond that we probably need squad/development players for:

1: defensive mid to replace Gana assuming he stays
2. Left back to improve on Myko’s attacking deficiencies
3: centre back to backup Jarrad, Jake and replace Tarky in a year or two.
4: Goalkeeper to come in and backup and eventually replace JP.
Agree with of that

if newcastle sell isaac he will go they’re

but who else would want him with us?
United, Brighton, Spurs, Forest even. Not saying we aren't in the conversation but they have European footy to offer.

Completely agree but which of those teams would he be first choice at ?

United will be scarred by the experience of a young inexperienced striker after Hojlund and will surely go for someone more proven.

Brighton have Jaeo Pedro , Spurs Solanke , Forest Chris Wood.

I don't see him displacing any of those strikers.

Chelsea is an option if Boehy wants youth instead of a proven striker. The Arse will go for someone like Sesko or Gyockores.

I actually think that Everton is a great option for Delap if he isn't too impatient and well advised( but suspect that the allure of a bigger club and higher wages will be too tempting for him )

We've probably got 10 outfield positions to reassess and replace at least once or twice before time is called on Pickford's career. Priorities and such.
I don’t disagree, my thinking is more that keepers take time to develop so doing it now should mean that in 2-3 years whoever we get now is completely ready.

However, you are right that we need to leave that to last out of the priorities I would say

i think we have absolutely no chance of Delap coming to us. Euro football, higher payscles etc... I could see him going to Manure but he looks like a Newcastle player if Isak goes to Manure.
I wouldn't say no chance but it's unlikely, he would be pretty much guranteed starter here thàt and a new ground is our offer. But tend to agree he goes elsewhere as much as he fits the mould for us.

Like from my perspective as a Everton fan I agree and it would be a good step up for him just saying there will be stiff competition for his signature, considering the derth of PL ready strikers about. We can only pput put hat in and see what he wants to do. We need two strikers ideally, even if Dom stays.
