Everton 0-2 Man.United... Match Report and MotM Poll...

Two straight matches at Goodison without a shot on target. That's grim.

    Sean Dyche

Maybe he's more flexible than it seems, but I can't imagine playing the way Burnley's been playing with the squad we have. They do a lot of sitting deep and then lumping the ball up to a big lump of a striker. We don't have the size or the pace up front for that to work.

Yup. Which is going to backfire mightily, I think. "Free" access to NBC Sports Extra was one of the last things getting me to cling to my cable subscription.

NBC Sports has decided to paywall their non-featured matches.

Stats - how much notice do you take?

If it were possible to do that, it would be great. I don't really have time to watch 380 Premier League matches plus another couple of thousand matches from other leagues and cups each year, though, so it's nice to have statistics to fill in the gaps. The big problem is that nobody even...

Confirmed Signing Everton Sign Wayne Rooney

Where on the depth chart is he? He's a central midfielder now, right? So is he ahead of Klaasen? Schneiderlin? Gueye? Davies? Barkley?

West Ham vs Everton... Match Report and MotM Poll...

No one was any good today -- no one for Everton, no one for West Ham, and the referee wasn't that great, either.

    Joel Robles

You're not counting the FA Cup loss to Leicester?

Are we a one man team?

You're approaching it from the wrong angle. It shouldn't be looked at as which team had the highest percentage of its goals scored by one striker, but which team has scored the fewest goals outside of its top scorer. So, for instance, Manchester United might have a slightly lower percentage of...

Spurs vs Everton, Match Report and MotM Poll...

They definitely have looked terrible in their European matches there. It's going to be worse for them than Olympic Stadium has been for West Ham.

Spurs vs Everton, Match Report and MotM Poll...

Just keep in mind, White Hart Lane is the most difficult stadium to win at in the country. Sure, we didn't look good today, but I'm not sure you can point to any team (apart from Spurs, obviously) that has looked good there. They've outscored the opposition 44-10 there this season. This is not...

    Gerard Deulofeu

If we're moving to three at the back on any sort of regular basis, there's no place for him here. Lennon and Mirallas have at least looked like they can play through the middle with some effectiveness, but Deulofeu always looks like he wants to be out as wide as possible.

Match Thread Everton V Southampton 3pm Monday 2nd January

You didn't miss much. The last thirty minutes were when all the good things happened. Almost inclined to vote for Valencia -- he certainly had a huge impact when he came on. Went for Ross, though. Probably the best I've seen him do at just running the game through the midfield.

    Mason Holgate

If he's the weak link, what are the strong ones?

    Ramiro Funes Mori

Otamendi's still a bit dodgy, to be fair.
