I think we're happy to sell at a silly price but we're also happy to keep him should that price not be met. Be interesting to see whether he kicks off for it soon.

Agree that there's a lot of unknowns and gambles on both sides. Of course that includes him as well. He's turned down a contract which likely would have made him a millionaire and so if this doesn't come off and he decides to see out his two years he's lost out big time.

Yeah never any guarantees of course but I think it'd be far more likely with him than without. There's no guarantees that any replacement/s would be good enough either. Very few guarantees in football and gambles are always bigger when it comes to young players on all sides.
