2025/26 Tyler Dibling

Talent is undeniable for me. Very strong dribbler, good at using his body, but he doesn't have the pace to exploit that moment he (usually easily) gets past his full-back, so often is forced to chop back and then the attack dies.

Definitely just not a winger for me.
Definitely not a right winger especially , he cannot cross on his right.

Moyes will never trust him at Premier League level to be a central player but it’s pretty clear he’d be better suited there.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m still a firm believer in his talent and potential. I have no doubts over that.

I really do question his motivation and intent. I hate to say it, it may just be down to his temperament. As you said, we’d all like to see him assert himself as a main man, demand the ball and push it forward. He’s capable of it with the ball at his feet.

On a side note, these commentators are unbearable. Having to also mute it.
There's always glimpses of his ability when I get to see him play. Beat his man well a couple of times in the first half and his close control is noticeably very good. Similarly to you I don't doubt the talent is there.

Definitely looks frustrated though. Low on confidence, second guessing himself and doesn't look to be playing his natural game. Strange that he wasn't sent on loan in January as he looks like he just needs to be playing football tbh.

And there was one of those flashes of brilliance…just need to see it more from him!

I saw an old friend couple of weeks ago whose nipper is in our academy and he said he something interesting about Tyler.

Apparently around this time last year he was confiding in friends that he really wasn't enjoying the life of a professional footballer and everything which came with it.

He loved coming up in youth football and playing with all his mates etc (I suspect the fact he found it so easy played a part too) but had struggled with the switch to first team and the associated pressures.

Obviously I have no way of knowing for certain if this is true, but the bloke in question I go back 30 years with so see no reason why he'd lie, and it might partially explain why hes struggling to settle so much up there.

I'm sure some will shoot me down for this but sharing anyway as reckon plenty would find it interesting.

Personally I hope it's not true / he gets over it as otherwise he'll definitely never reach his clearly very high potential.
