So Coleman was never a good a player?A) you previously got annoyed by someone using stats.
B) Coleman runs forward aimlessly when he does go and no longer has the dynamism to do that and contribute adequately defensively.
Also, Coleman's defensive skills have always been poor - he lacks concentration, is too short and doesn't use his body well to compensate for aerial duels and has very poor positioning and lacks the pace he used to have to compensate for this. He is still fairly decent at doing a marking job on an opposition player but that's your lot really.
AmenBit of a drama going on here....let's see the result of injury before we condemn ourselves to relegation and send Seamus away to the knackers yard. You'll stress yourselves into an early grave with this carry on.
Get well soon Nathan, hope your back up and running soon.
He was never a good defender, no.So Coleman was never a good a player?
Unbelievable
Coleman and Holgate are precisely why we will not progress with Patterson out. They are simply not of the required standard and have proven this over and over again in the last number of years. Patterson was developing. He wasn't of the standard yet, either, but he has huge upside and was progressing nicely. That's been set back now and the Chuckle Brothers are back to wreak their usual havoc. I think this injury - and its consequences - will set Lampard back big time come November.Ita a blow that he's injured and hopefully he will be back by the end of the World Cup at the very latest.
I think if we play Coleman in the home games and then possibly Holgate in the away games if he can get fit soon then we won't be too compromised. Because as well as Patterson has been playing, he has been prone to the odd error too so losing him isn't like losing a star man or someone who makes the difference. But rather losing someone with a great deal of potential who has shown some of that potential in his games so far.
My biggest annoyance Is that the injury will stunt his progression but all being well it hopefully won't take him too long to recover.
Well if we know any ambitious premier league side, we should be sure to let them know.He was never a good defender, no.
He was very good in a man-marking role - as was pointed out- when asked to take on that responsibility. In general play, not great defensively. In his early days, he had a touch of dynamism about himself going forward, too, but technically he was always second rate. He had and has a very good attitude for a player of his status, but he has basically taken his talent to its limit which is to his credit. Right now, and for half a decade now, that level should not and has not been good enough for an ambitious Premier League team.
You've just made that up, haven't you ?Was carrying a knock going into this, trained alone, then they played him anyway
Give over.Coleman might genuinely be the worst player in the squad, him or Michael Keane
Yes, he has done great and brings a lot of "energy" lacking from the other options in this position. Definitely weakens us short term.Dreadful news, we will miss his fighting mentality. He also gives the fans a lift as well.
Good mates with Wanda Fuca.Who the hell is Santiago arias
