Johnny Heitinga - You blew it son.

For me the problem is that Heitinga isn't the best player in any position and we cant justify paying top wages to a squad player. If anyone was to be sold it should be him and Billy too as he has had ample time to settle and Moyes must either play him or sell him to raise funds for someone he will.

Couldnt agree more mate.

Well well, a whole thread dedicated to blaming one or two players for a defeat that should've never happened. (The own goal was clearly Howards fault for not calling.)

Moyes is the head coach/manager/picker of the team/buyer of players. He always demands and gets his own way.

He is the one who is failing miserably after ten years in the job.

Anywhere else, in any sort of sport, job or industry, he would have been down the road by now. Get rid of the jock****!

I'm not a fan of Johnny H. He has a clear lack of pace and is prone to mistakes. However the one thing I will say is he was worth his transfer fee alone for that moment of genius at Stamford Bridge when he shouldered into Ashley Cole in the penalty shoot out.

Bad Form? When was the last time Johnny had any good form? A one off decent game last week against United doesnt count, he was at fault for the goal

If he'd been playing brilliantly and then had a one off bad game in which he scored an own goal id understand the 'knee-jerk' shouts, but thats not what this is about at all

He's begged to be played in his proper position and hes had his chance and blown it

And anyone who wants to whip out the 'hes played in a World cup final' line....Djimi Traore played in a Champions League final, end of

3 games and he's blown it?

Refer back to my original post then.

I don't think you can put all the blame on heitinga just as u can't jags or Distin but I think if we could get back what we payed for him I'd let him go. Could replace with onuho (can't spell it) the lad from city and I don't think we'd be any worse off!

Get shot of Billy too, could get around 12M in for those two.

Sorry mate, im not having that, Heitinga isnt a good player in my opinion, i also think Coleman is a very limited as well.

To befair Baines is prob the best player in the world though.

Right he's crap thats why every Dutch manager has picked him consistantly when there are top young players coming through the ranks.

The people of holland must be smoking too much because he has been named player of the year once and been shorlisted a couple of times whilst at ajax.

That's why Ajax recieved top cash from a good spanish club for him. His main issue is his attitude that's why Atletico decided to sell him quickly and relatively cheap also. Well that and they needed the cash as they are skint like us.

Most clubs probably wouldn't pay much more than we did because of that.

Those saying he has never played well for us are lying in imo.

I remember posts on here even of people saying how good he was playing. Like i said before when jags came back from injury and we had a fit midfield and he was dropped to the bench there was a thread in here complaining of that fact and that we should be playing him at his preferred role.

Now he is playing bad and we should sell him.

I can honestly say i have never been a fan, he might be a good SQUAD player as back up but for me he has not reached the realm of first team definate. And for his wages well we are better off selling him and spending the money on some one else- i dont know who before you ask! He waxes lyrical about being the best player in the team but i would put him alongside Ossy as a great back up. nothing more.
Only my opinion mind, he needs to improve and stay CONSISTANT for me to change my mind about him.

On reflection I reckon I have been quite harsh on Johnny. Jagielka has had a shocking season and Johnny has had a couple of bad games and I have written him off. Might well be him and Distin for the next game which will be interesting.

I loved him to start with, even when he became a real life Sniderman. Just don't see him as a starter if everyone's fit, and is far too expensive to sit on the bench. Think we'd get 5m+ for him, which I would take

He's a World Cup finalist, but can't make our first XI week in week out in any of 3 positions

Just read Jags has been playing with toe injections before each game. And he's been called up for England. I hope he withdraws from the England squad FFS.

Dont agree with that one in total Silas lad. Jags has had a few bad ones this season to be fair but he hasnt be Shocking. the whole team hasnt been great and confidence plays a large part of any team, we dont have any confidence at the minute. I couldnt single any one player out for being rubbish, they have all been a bit crap. we need a couple of wins (obvious i know) to get the team smiling again, maybe a ball to bounce off the strikers into the net to kick start them into life again.

Distin hasn't been bad mate and neither is Hibbert on the whole. Jags has been poor bar the last couple of games Heitinga hasn't had a run in his favoured position so I am giving the lad a break. Would admit scoring some of those goal thingies would be nice.

Come on, what about the 3-4 months of dirge coupled with his "I'M A WORLD CUP FINALIST FFS!" bull we got at this time last year, he finally got his game together mid-February.

He's been dog since 09/10 ended.

True statement there mate, some of the lads have been ok, problem is no one is at the top of there game, which might pull the rest of them up a bit? i dont know i'm a bit disheartened this season by the lack of enthusiam - a leader if you like.

Well prone to mistakes at CB and lapses like both our centre halves to be fair. Better distribution that Jags all can agree just never seems to give his all anymore but does the job I suppose, did panic at the weekend though.

Now as a defensive midfielder? Honestly I'd prefer to see Jan Mucha in midfield, Heitinga is utter utter (I can't over ephasis this) UTTER crap there, not a clue, headless chicken, never in the game, gets in the way, I could go on forever like this.

I'm more bothered about James McFadden going straight onto the bench and on instead of the likes of Gueye, Barkley etc I just don't think it sends out a great message for their confidence!
