Wow , it is boiling hot already ( 8am).

Don't know about you but I find it so hot sleeping in this weather. Anyway due to break tomorrow so hopefully some rain and perhaps even a thunderstorm!

Amazing photos @Sassy Colombian looks like something out of Jurasic Park. Me and Mrs J were chatting about travel last night and although we are pretty widely travelled particularly in SE Asia we've never really wanted to visit the USA and probably need to do so.

Going to do a CV session in a bit then some relaxing yoga . Sat out for an hour yesterday and it wasn't too bad so might do the same again before I watch Chelsea v Spurs.

Everton - mon dieu! Ok the positives .... excellent spirit amongst the players and absolutely no doubt that they are really trying and putting a shift in ( especially Iwobi) . Defence very well organised. However ..............there is virtually nothing going forward and we just don't look like scoring . Without goals relegation becomes almost inevitable. It's not just a lack of CF ( although we are desperate for 1 even 2 strikers ) we just aren't creating much.

For me the balance of the team is all wrong. If you play with wing backs they need to start high up the pitch so you play with 3 at the back not 5.
We need 3 in midfiled otherwise we are overrun and 2 up top , perhaps split strikers.

If we don't learn lessons soon we will be in big trouble.

Anyway could be worse - we could be Man U spending a billion pounds on players to be that crap. At least we've only spent half a billy.

Agreed mate, which is why I've been crying out for Myko to play LCB with Vinegre in front of him. The wing backs playing higher up and providing the width, so play 3 in the middle one of whicb needs to be creative, and 2 strikers. Think Frank got t wrong not playing Rondon yesterday, and I never thought I'd ever say that. lol

Didn't see the game and can't bring myself to watch highlights when we lose. How did the new kid do in hs short cameo. Did he show signs of something good to come?

I do feel we are getting there, but it's imperative we bring in at least 2 proper forwards before the window endes, one of which as cover/rotation for DCL. It could be worse, we could support Man U.

Morning all, just been doing the ironing before it gets too hot. Have promised grandkids nos. 3 and 4 I will take them to the fun day in our local park this afternoon. Temperature of 34 forecast - what was I thinking, I must be crackers . There was due to be a fun dog show as well but the organisers have taken the sensible decision and cancelled it. Don’t know which will be worse this afternoon the heat or the girls’ assault on my finances! Have a good day all.?

Just under 3 weeks to my cruise H so I'll have to get the ironing board out soon . Dreading it. Been living in shorts and T shorts for the last 6 months.lol

I wouldn’t dared to pick mushrooms from the forest unless I am with someone with such knowledge because I know nothing about eatable fungi. Here are some other shots of mushrooms from last week’s hike in the forest. Do you recognize any?

Just a guess Sass but I reckon you wouldn't be here now posting if you'd foraged some of them. I would say the second pic (yellow mushroom) looks like something I've eaten before. The rest look a bit iffy to me.

No problem mate, the reason for the name cow kecks comes from my long struggle trying to find trousers these days that don't have stretch waists. They're ok when you first put them on but after an hour the stretch kick's in and they start to slide down leaving my rear end looking like the back of a cow. CK is fine but I usually go by the name John.

Be careful with grass cutting Anj.

I've left mine for the last 2 weeks. When it's short it's much more likely to get scorched in this weather.

Mine needs doing too but I'm resisting the temptation.

Also too hot for grass cutting , just have a bottle of vino , you deserve it!

I cut mine 2 weeks ago and it hasn't grown at all since then.

He loves the airfryer. He's been experimenting to find the optimum size of chips to cook in it! Fries are too skinny he reckons but don't want them too chunky either.

Cal bought an airfryer and she loved it. I haven't gotten around to trying it out yet. I have some calamari in the freezer so keep on meaning to try it out on them.

Ha ha. Don't take any notice of him CK. I'm a good guy. It's the ladies of the thread you need to watch out for. I'm sure you'll get to know them in due course, but just to give you a bit of a heads up. Sass likes to get her butterflies out for the boys. Anj likes anything in kecks so longs as they have a 6 pack and are under the age of 30, so you may be safe. And H, who also goes by the name Gwladys, is the real one to watch out for. Don't let the fact that she's a septuagenarian get your guard down (sorry, that's the bounder n me coming out lol) . get on her wrong side and you'll be forever immortalised in GIF.
