Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Paid my first visit to see Cookie the hamster today who I am looking after while my friends are on holiday. She was fine. We had a nice chat ( I did most of the talking) and she had a grape that I brought from our house for her.
We've had some astonishingly heavy rain here today. Started at about 3pm. I won't need to water anything tonight!
The oldest child is 29 tomorrow. How on earth did that happen lol

Thanks @Gwladysover the recognition has been gratifying and while I wish the financial aspect was better, I am still grateful for having this new big job and for the new opportunities it’s opening for me so hopefully one day I’ll be rewarded more financially. I wish here in the US there was something similar to the NHS, or some sort of public health care system instead of the the private system we currently have that’s only interested in profits.

Did you get a better grasp of the English by studying Shakespeare’s work? Haha, if it was the dark ages then how many centurits are you really turning today?? Happy Birthday dear friend?
No I can’t say my grasp is any better for studying Shakespeare, I found most of it heavy going although I did enjoy Henry V and also some of the sonnets. I can still recite Sonnet 18 ( Shall I compare thee?) which I had to learn by heart when I was 14. I love this version by Dave Gilmour.

You do realise hamsters can't eat grapes as there's too much sugar in them.
