Just been speaking to my brother, he’s a bit of a meteorology buff, his weather station showed 38.2 this afternoon, highest temperature he’s ever recorded.

Highest Armagh officially hit was 30.6.

38.2 is just ridiculous. Hard to stick even if you’re beside the pool sipping something with an umbrella in it never mind living normal life.

Highest ever in Scotland is 32.8 and it wasover 31 around the Falkirk District today, nice and cool at my work in the a/c though.

No I didn't know her mate. Not by name anyway.

It's shocking the number of people you hear of dying in their 50s and 60s lately.

My lad (14) started for the U17s tonight and more than held his own. Nervous beforehand and talked a lot about it but settled and did himself justice.

Hate watching him at that level though as it’s literally a boy against men.

It’s Gaelic football so he is in his first year of U15 so would actually have 4 seasons of U17s before moving to Senior level.

Skill level is fine etc but the difference in physicality is a concern.

Blimey yeah I’ve heard that’s a really physical game. Good that he held his own.

I haven’t read them but I’ve just looked up the reviews ( prefer to to think we are mature and well-,informed @anjelikaferrett ?) and they certainly look well worth a read.

I get the books from world books through Amazon as the wife reads them in English although they are printed in Finnish .I read the reply from @anjelikaferrett to her and have had a dressing down as they "are not syrupy " and can be read by us all.

Here's our cat. Outside temperature is about 33 degrees. She's lying in a nylon/plastic tunnel in front of a glass door in a patch of sunlight with her favourite toy mouse having a snooze. She must be melting!!

We have the same tunnels but I tied three together to cope with are little lad .He seems to love shooting down different routes .

Morning guys its 22c here already very warm at this time.

Plenty of water for D out walking but we won't be out long in these temps blue, a toilet stop more like.

Just treat myself to a new mobile phone as mine is 7 years old, only got a sim free pay as you go type, samsung m22, I've had a samsung galaxy7 edge since 2015 so wanted to stick on a samsung.
