Hmm so that throws some doubt on the account that:s been posted on here a couple of times now; the one of the family man who was at the game and loads of bunkers in ended up standing on their seats. He was saying they were all coked up and had stream after stream of pints coming to them and they got progressively bladdered.

Mate i bought stream after stream of pints in Nuremberg’s ground . Then I found out it was 0% alcohol ??? I had been drinking all afternoon so couldn’t tell the difference . They probably didn’t realise either

Will be interesting to see if Merseyside Police’s powers of observation have improved since they failed to find any evidence of anyone attacking the Man City bus (even though social media was awash with it)

The same merseyside police who raided the houses of those printing the fakes last week.

They knew there was going to be 1000's of fakes.

Why did they not feel the need to ask Liverpool and their fan groups to communicate this further prior to the game?

Haha I done the exact same thing, was saying to my daughter that this is brilliant being trusted to have a pint in the ground, she informed me that it was 0% alcoholic, felt a right divy.

Thanks Phil. Can agree to disagree. I don't think that's unfair. I will call out tosh and lies when I see it though. People seem to be insinuating I've said that there were no reds trying to get in with fake tickets - or absolving them of responsibility - which I'm not doing at all!

I just think authorities lying, as they have done, is sickening, especially because it doesn't take much for English/British fans in Europe to get stick as it is.

Look at what Rangers and Frankfurt have managed to do after the Europa League final, for example. Another UEFA showpiece event that was completely mismanaged. Anyway, I only logged back in to reply to @spectateur because he's a good poster too!

Lying? They are putting their side,our loveable neighbours theirs. The truth as it usually does will end up somewhere in the middle. Unless people have had their heads in a bucket for a few decades they'll be well aware of how police on the continent deal with unruly football fans. The photographic evidence is there,their end people over full, people sitting in gangways,the Madrid end not.So obviously fakes, and or bunking in was the root cause.

Honestly think a lot of managers are scared of getting on the wrong side of Klopp and in turn the media so don’t play that way against them. Anyone that takes points off them will have their reputations attacked by Klopp and the press and essentially be branded an anti-football dinosaur. I don’t care how mental it sounds, I genuinely believe a lot of managers would rather not beat them because of the collateral damage that comes with it. The only manager who’s immune to a character assassination in this country is Pep.

Staff/check point guards/police/security were overwhelmed with the sheer numbers that were demanding entry, valid ticket, fraud ticket and no ticket. I have absolutely no doubt some of those that got through valid ticket, fraud ticket and no ticket had booze on them somehow, little bottles of vodka and the like to top up for the match proper. its no miracle.
