Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I had a horrible feeling of foreboding at half time when the commentator said the next 45 minutes would be so important - my stomach turned to ice. I just knew we would mess it up.

Contrast with 85 FAC Final. United go down to ten men, but at 0-0 in extra time they went for us, while we wilted.

Today we were ahead starting the 2nd half and just sat back in one of the most important games in our history.

Bottlers, but Frank has to take much of the blame for the tactics - we needed to press them from the half way line not fall back to the penalty area, giving Brentford loads of possession and boosting their morale, while silencing the enthusiasm of the crowd, who had done their best
I don't agree ,they had had much more posession than us and were moving the ball about much better ,we couldn't have pressed sucessfully and it was the loss of one of our few defenders that I feel caused the problems.

Good morning all ,I know not all slept well @Toast but I hope all have a fine day .
They are a good side and with ten men the writing was on the wall at one point they had 95% of the ball ,that and one more man is a recipe for a sound win and they did .
I think it is just a postponement of the celebrations but who knows who we will have next game that is fit . no name calling , I thought Mykolenko once again had a solid game and is showing a bit of grit ,which I like .

Morning guys, well screwed over by VAR again, nobody can tell me that it is being used correctly, it just isn't and is causing more issues than the supposed talking points that it was brought in too help clear up.

Should have left it at goal line technology, that's good enough, we now have referees interpretation of slow motion challenges that always appear worse slowed down pr they pick and choose which ones to look at, rubbish. We should be complaining to get it scrapped.

Mate United lost arguably their best, solid rock, central defender when Kevin Moran was sent off. They just went for it in ET and were rewarded. Mind you I always said that Everton felt bad about the sending off - look at Reid pleading with the ref not to send him off.

Our edge just went while it galvanised United in ET. Our midfield yesterday was just invisible - not good enough

I agree totally BR, I was at the game yesterday and when we went 2-1 up I knew we had a mountain to climb but I was still full of hope.
After the game on the way back up to Scotland I was just so deflated, I had such a good weekend and Everton let me down again.
I know it's been discussed so much but the sooner we are rid of Kenwright and Moshiri the better, the incompetence within our club starts at the top and rots downwards.
Rant over x
