Replay of the Rodwell Red. I AM FUMING.

I actually thought about that during the match.

What would happen if he pulled 'em all into the dressing room?

I don't ever support that. It seems childish. I was thinking at halftime.... "a win now would make an epic victory". Too bad it wasn't meant to be.

I do support an Moysie tirade. The heat needs to be turned up on the FA, poor/biased officiating, and players who have the ability to recuperate from near-death experiences to full speed in 30 seconds. Disgraceful.

I actually thought "fair enough", when Suarez did his handball in the World Cup. He "took one for the team", as it were.

I've posted this elsewhere, and this is also an "intentional foul"

Clearly "intentional fouls" which actually are a physical danger to your opponent don't count. A cheeky trip is morally ok, so is a handball on the line, but attempting to break your opponents' legs is not.

*edit* Removing stupid vaguely threatening sounding comment from end, cause I'm not a knobby snide, just really angry and frustrated. And I apologise.

You're not a martial artist at all, are you?

EDIT: okay, removed my snidey stuff too

To those believing that Suarez's handball on the line was cheating rather than a foul within the confines of the game, let me remind you our own cap'n Phil did it in the derby a few years ago (go to around 7:00):

Needs more video

Was Neville cheating by attempting to con the referee to get an opponent sent off or was he attempting to save a goal by committing an intentional foul with full knowledge of the consequences? Those consequences being a red card for him and a penalty to them.

If yous can't appreciate the difference then I give up.

yeah nothing wrong with it. rolling around like a bitch on the other hand........

Dholliday is on a roll. Agree 100%.
My take.
It wasn't a red. It wasn't a yellow. It wasn't even a foul. But it was a hard and legal tackle.
That being said, Even though the game had been fairly level headed, had the ref let that tackle got unpunished, the tackles would have escalated as the red****e would feel that they were wronged and would seek retribution. Someone's leg would have been broken today had no foul been called on that tackle as the game would have quickly gotten out of hand.

So I'm glad a foul was called as the safety of our squad is most important right now. But the red card was one of the strangest things I've seen.

He's a snidey little ()*& but he didn't roll around, well as much as he usually does. That's all on Atkinson, who came in match hellbent on throwing someone out today.

It was actually quite an enjoyable derby, clean and exciting and F- Atkinson ruins it.
