Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good afternoon all. Hope your hangover has improved @Sassy Colombian. @Gwladysover Have a fab time at the festival. Live music is great. You've reminded me that I need to book tickets for Hardwick Live - a few miles down the road from us. Two day thing - Stereophonics and The Specials are headlining but The Proclaimers are further down the bill as well. As for you @Barnfred 55 I can't believe you aren't hungover! Ask your neighbours if they fancy going with you. If I lived nearer I'd go with you - you seem like somebody I'd quite like to have a bevvy or two with!

Busy morning so far. Getting ready for Dad coming home later today. I've caught up on the washing and ironing for him, been shopping - we are going to have salmon, new potatoes and peas followed by strawberries and cream tonight. One of him and my Mum's oldest friends called today and asked if she could pop round to see him tomorrow. Back to the shops I went because you simply cannot offer somebody a cup of tea and the only available biscuits are Rich Tea ( who even buys them. They are rubbish biscuits!) We now have some more acceptable up market biscuits suitable for visitors lol Unfortunately on my way home I saw the aftermath of what appeared to have been somebody getting run over on the main road (Aigburth Road for those who know the area) Police and paramedics in attendance, person lying in the road. Hope they are not too badly hurt.

It is a lovely sunny day here in Liverpool. The temperature sensor in my car has been broken for ages. It is 17 degrees out. So today for the first time since last summer I have a positive temperature reading. Wooo! According to my car it is 3C which makes the real world a lovely 20C.

Big blue day tomorrow. I don't want to voice my thoughts aloud so I'm not making any predictions!
Unfortunately I’m still feeling terrible this morning, I forgotten how horrible hot tub hangovers are. As of right now I’m not having a drink tonight, I’m feeling so bad that I hope I have the energy to dance
?? ? thankfully it is only 9 am here so the day still is young.

You are such a good daughter, very sweet of you to take of your dad they way you do. He is very fortunate. Sometimes that’s one thing it makes me sad about my dad living in Colombia, as he gets older I feel bad I’m not there to take care of him. Although he still is in great shape and has good health, he is 76 and lives alone. My younger sister wants him to move to Orlando with her but I just don’t see my dad moving back to the US at old age, he already lives here and didn’t like it. That’s why he is back in Colombia so it really is a tough situation.

I loathe hospitals too, the longest I been at one was when I gave birth to Sofia through a C-section and we got stuck there for four days due to a snow storm.

Big day tomorrow for sure!

I love cover bands Gwladys. It's all you get down here as there aren't any stadiums big enough for the bigger names. Falmouth week in August have a Queen tribute band and a Fleetwood Mac tribute band on. Same line up as last year but we had a brilliant night so I'm definitely going again. May be able to talk the neighbours into it too. You never know. The young veggie couple next door named their kitten Stevie after Stevie Nicks so they may be up for it. Whether they'd want to spend their evening with an old fart like me is a different matter.

Anyway, enjoy B/DC. Love the one with the bagpipes.

Repeat after me: “I’m not an old fart” ?

I
Agree. Sad to say The Royal is an absolute sh*t tip. It's horrible - you can barely see out of the windows, they are that mucky.
I served 33 years in there man and boy :) , no one believed me back in 2012/13 when I said I wouldn’t be setting foot in the new build. As it was I retired in 2016 just short of my 56th birthday, I’d had enough, the move was scheduled for 1st September this year but has been postponed for a few weeks at least.

I was too in YouTube just now trying to upload the clip of my cat meeting the groundhog and came across and old video of Sofi singing and since you all are having a chat about the Eurovision contest then it feels appropriate to post it. I may have a future artist at my house too lol Sofia is starting chorus next school year and I’m super excited as she really has a good voice.

Seems like a nice quiet reserved young lady. Does she take after her dad??

Absolutely adorable - star in the making.

As promised. Fresca meets groundhog video. It seem all the ladies at this household are daring lol
