Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Quite a few RS shirts in Morrisons this morning. ☹️ Wonder who will win Eurovision ?. We’re off to Yaxfest this evening. It’s a three day festival in Yaxley, Cambs not the one in Suffolk. Loads of bands, mostly local. Let there B/DC are playing so for those about to rock - get your earplugs ready!
I love cover bands Gwladys. It's all you get down here as there aren't any stadiums big enough for the bigger names. Falmouth week in August have a Queen tribute band and a Fleetwood Mac tribute band on. Same line up as last year but we had a brilliant night so I'm definitely going again. May be able to talk the neighbours into it too. You never know. The young veggie couple next door named their kitten Stevie after Stevie Nicks so they may be up for it. Whether they'd want to spend their evening with an old fart like me is a different matter.

Anyway, enjoy B/DC. Love the one with the bagpipes.

Love covers bands too, I may have mentioned before we used to roadie for a Pink Floyd tribute act, really enjoyed it and was sorry when they disbanded.Don’t sell yourself short I’m sure they would love to spend an evening with you and take it from an old biddy you’re nowhere near being an old fart.?

Its a long way to the top. (If you want to rock and roll).

Good afternoon all. Hope your hangover has improved @Sassy Colombian. @Gwladysover Have a fab time at the festival. Live music is great. You've reminded me that I need to book tickets for Hardwick Live - a few miles down the road from us. Two day thing - Stereophonics and The Specials are headlining but The Proclaimers are further down the bill as well. As for you @Barnfred 55 I can't believe you aren't hungover! Ask your neighbours if they fancy going with you. If I lived nearer I'd go with you - you seem like somebody I'd quite like to have a bevvy or two with!

Busy morning so far. Getting ready for Dad coming home later today. I've caught up on the washing and ironing for him, been shopping - we are going to have salmon, new potatoes and peas followed by strawberries and cream tonight. One of him and my Mum's oldest friends called today and asked if she could pop round to see him tomorrow. Back to the shops I went because you simply cannot offer somebody a cup of tea and the only available biscuits are Rich Tea ( who even buys them. They are rubbish biscuits!) We now have some more acceptable up market biscuits suitable for visitors lol Unfortunately on my way home I saw the aftermath of what appeared to have been somebody getting run over on the main road (Aigburth Road for those who know the area) Police and paramedics in attendance, person lying in the road. Hope they are not too badly hurt.

It is a lovely sunny day here in Liverpool. The temperature sensor in my car has been broken for ages. It is 17 degrees out. So today for the first time since last summer I have a positive temperature reading. Wooo! According to my car it is 3C which makes the real world a lovely 20C.

Big blue day tomorrow. I don't want to voice my thoughts aloud so I'm not making any predictions!

Best friend of my brother in law used to be the roadie for Australian Pink Floyd so we've seen them lots. Also saw Brit Floyd. Both were exceptional.

Thanks Anj. I will mention it to them and see what sort of response I get. According to Peter (the son) my neighbour was a big Queen fan back in the day, but I don't think he'd be up to standing around for about 4 hours. He's pretty weighty.

Glad to see your dad's coming out. Don't know about you but I've always hated hospitals.

Agree. Sad to say The Royal is an absolute sh*t tip. It's horrible - you can barely see out of the windows, they are that mucky.
