Do we do it too much?

This is where the experience of Lampard and Cole should be useful. The art of winning cheap free kicks and giving away fouls in non dangerous areas to break the game up. Arteta was brilliant at it, just turned when he received the ball to put his body between the ball and opponent, felt any kind of contact and went down, winning a free kick. Gordon needs to learn this.
Pienaar was the best for us. Every time he had the ball and had no outlet he got "fouled" and we got a free kick.

When he went down under pressure in the box yesterday, I find that hard to class as a dive as he was at full pelt so a push can put you off your stride and lose balance or at least momentum.
Not convinced that sort of think should be a penalty minds, but they have been given and will continue to be. If that had been Sancho I expect there would have been more made of it.

I agree in theory. I'd agree more in reality if it weren't for the fact that every other sod is doing it, so to never do it ourselves would put us at a massive disadvantage.
I get that. If the entertainment is ever to be a sport again this rubbish needs stamping out, along with the pundits that try to justify or normalise it. Then I'd vaporise any fans who really should know better!

We're not at Stevie-G-la levels of starfish leaping, and even if we were, it's us, so we wouldn't get as many decisions anyway

He felt contact and went down. Should have stayed on his feet but he got us a pen for doing very similar the other day

He should have stayed up at the time because the ball was his to get and because of the situation in the game - experience and game-management

Iwobi should of made more when Freds boot caught him, took a tumble and rolled around like he had been shot, give the ref something to think about

Anthony Gordon in the opposition box; timing is everything.

Its part and parcel of the position he plays, your not doing your job properly if you are bringing home some % of free kicks and penalties, you could talk about anyone and everyone in the PL who does the same thing in his position. Richarlison to my minds does it more.

Dong anything else is naive.

I'm all for gamesmanship, we should also look to get opposition sent off. It's been part of our down fall, too nice and gentlemanly in our approach. We are at forefront of elite sport anything goes to win, not partaking puts us at disadvantage which opponents are only to keen to exploit.
