Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hope Rosie had another good night, and continues adjusting to her new family and house, especially the stairs. Given your back aches you want to make sure to train her to do such task. Or you could end end up like Norville carrying big Scooby Doo along with another back ache ;)

That is exactly the scene in the Jazzy household Sass!

Ok so yesterday back felt better so I did the most gentle gym session.

Today it's in bulk again. Going to try to get some physio this afternoon.

Rosie is mostly good but if Mrs J or Tintin go out of the room she cries.....a lot!

Suspect she doesn't do the same when I'm not there!

Anyway Mrs J has gone to the rescue shop this am and after a 5 minutes cry Rosie has calmed down.

Yet another lovely day but no chance of doing anything remotely strenuous so it's a time for reading today.

Went to watch the Liverpool TT Cup final last night as one of our former players was playing.

His team won but also in his team was another 17 year old now ranked no5 in England u21 and no15 in senior men's.

Staggering how good he was. I'm half decent and don't think I'd get more than a couple of points off him.

Have a wonderful day y'all.

I haven't , maybe yoga or pilates might be helpful but wouldn't know where to start the discomfort has only started recently and only when I walk a distance but I get bad pains in my hips for a while I thought I had ilio band syndrome at one point, still might have the pain matches up.. Daisy just loves meeting people and animals lol if it has a pulse Daisy want to play with it, she's just a friendly little thing.

Morning all hope everyone is good today, weather looks good again today, did 7miles yesterday but haven't decided where we can go today yet.

How's the new addition settling in @jazzy ?
Rosie lovely T. Hard work but lovely!

I'd really endorse the suggestion that you try yoga.

I have spondylitis in my neck and even in my 30s was getting really bad shooting pains down my arm.

My orthopaedic surgeon advised yoga so I tried it. 6 months later I was totally pain free. If it wasn't for yoga I'd have much greater problems with my back.

I went to a yoga class at my local gym. At first I was the only bloke in the class. 30 years later there are at least 6 guys in the class.

If you don't fancy that there are loads of free tutorials on YouTube many of them aimed at specific pain. You can do these postures ( asanas ) at home with just Daisy watching if you feel embarrassed and don't want to be a dick.

You never know it might help and like me you might become addicted.

Good luck mate.

See this is what I don't understand Jazzy, they say I have spondylosis but I've spoken to loads of people with it and nobody has the problems I have, the chronic headaches, the spasms in my shoulder and all the nerve damage in and around c6, and the way it effect my whole body to the point where my gait is so bad I'm have other anatomical problems.

The neurosurgeon did say every single disc in my neck is crumbling but they've never given me a satisfactory answer on why I have such nerve damage, I get horrible sensations around c6 and c6 does protrude more than it should. I made an appointment but it isn't until next week. I want answers. There is something wrong at the base of my neck that I'm convinced hasn't been picked up.

When I first went to the Drs about it years ago, it was all inflamed and swollen around that area so something in there is damaged.

Morning Blue from a still decidedly dark Armagh.

Having a good clear out is always rewarding mentally I find. Any manual work is really, gives a certain satisfaction.

Here’s hoping you find an antique watch like Del Boy did in his garage ?
I cleared two 20 ton skips out when we moved in ,the guy before had so much stuff .Now I want to move on some good machines like lathes and chop saws and even an electric coping saw .

Started looking for yoga classes in my area, found one not far £60p/m or £7 a session, I can't really afford that and the classes are all on zoom, may as well use youtube. I would rather be shown the techniques correctly before doing it on my own and not sure you can do that via zoom you need to be shown and helped really, bad technique can make you worse.

I don't drive either. I'll keep looking and hopefully find something. I have been wanting to get into meditation and Pilates for a long time but never done it, I find the process of meditation hard as I don't know how to calm my mind, not sure if that's part of my mental health issue but I'd imagine so. Everything costs money and I am poor unfortunately.

Lizzy are the only band I regretted never seeing live. Saw most of that era, but for some reason, never them.
I wss lucky enough to see them in the mid 70s on the Jailbreak tour at Liverpool Empire. They were boss. It was a bit intimidating as I was only 15 at the time and the place was jam packed with scary bikers. Brilliant gig though. I was a huge Lynyrd Skynyrd fan at the time and the twin lead guitar was very reminiscent of them.
