Lampard's approach has been wrong but the same mistakes from the same players yet again

Not sure if the approach has been wrong but like you pointed out we cannot account for the mistakes. Keane own goal, Pickford blunder then a full back deeper than his centre halves is just thick players.

Not a shot on goal for us either with the super DCL up front mis-timing headers, losing the ball. I would pull DCL put on Gray and stick Richie up front.

We are also giving Spurs the full width of the pitch so they can easily threaten us by having unmarked players free to do as they please.

Because when we played 442 wewere overrun in midfield. Under Benitez when we stayed deep we could not score. In fact we are rubbish no matter what the formation.

Goals win games and we desparately need the points. Lampard is trying to keep us in the prem with a group of serial failures plus VDB and and Ali who we have not yet paid a penny for.

I love Seamus, but he’s looked annoyed loads this evening when it was actually his fault in the first place, he shouldn’t be anywhere near a premier league pitch at this point in his career surely.

Symptomatic of the club - we should have bought the Patterson type replacement 3 years ago who could have learnt from seamus/been eased into the team. Instead seamus is now past it and the lad we’ve bought as the long term replacement lampard doesn’t think is ready. Gaping holes down the right hand side all half - seamus just can’t get back into position anymore - not a criticism of him - been brilliant for us but a wholly avoidable self inflicted wound
