Watching the extended highlights again this morning.
Whilst he seemed hesitant to cross the ball, his movement was great and always looked infield for the next pass. You'd imagine with DCL in there the instruction for him would probably shift to 'get into the pockets to make more crosses' but yesterday he was clearly tasked with working the triangles with Gordon & Gomes (and also Gray at times). Worked hard and always found a teammate.

He's young, in a foreign country, doesn't speak a word of English, probably living out of a suitcase in some hotel, getting used to driving on the left to training every day, having nobody to talk to, has a large price tag hanging off him, playing a much quicker brand of football, at stadiums where fans are screaming at him from near the touchline!
He's not used to any of this. You won't see what he is really all about, until he has a full pre season, and learned some of the lingo.
