Doesn't really matter if today or tomorrow. Not a lot will change by them. His assistants apart from Dunc will also go. Unless they decide Having Dunc there, with an outside manager is one of the problems?

He's been badly served by his players. Maybe someone else can get a tune out of them.
I rather doubt it.
All the previous managers did, to some mid-table extent (which is realistically what we currently are). Perhaps if the great tactician Benny with one of the most glittering CVs around could have done some of that coaching malarky and maybe won a game or two, the same lads who capitulated to 10th last year might not be looking over their shoulder at the relegation zone...

Passes his peak? He's only 28.

Players can play at a high level until they're into their early 30s nowadays. Digne has a good 4 or 5 years at a high level left.

Hes still playing for the best international team on the planet and we've replaced him with a lad who was playing in a 2 team league a month ago.

We're 15th, you don't weaken your side with the threat of relegation.

And also, it was Benitez mate. That fat, arrogant, little nobhead couldn't stand a player telling him how it is so he spitefully gave himself less chance of winning games for his employers just because of a personal spat. He should've been sacked for pure unprofessionalism. Good managers manage personalities and egos, and not just his own.
We've had his best days, he's almost 29. Yes, in all likelihood, he has passed his peak. Evertonians lament why somebody like Coleman is still stinking out the place - and the reason is simple: he should have been replaced at least three years ago. He had peaked, just as Digne has. Now, he is a drain on resources and has no sell-on value. This club cannot afford to become a retirement home.

The club needs to find a ruthless streak with recruitment. Coleman should have been off-loaded in 2017/18. There would have been dissent then as with Digne now, but it would have been the right thing to do.
