Just shows how out of touch with reality some people get.Our local team Peterborough United are nicknamed “The Posh”. Victoria Beckham tried to take them to court to stop them using the name, she didn’t win.lol

I take it this is a wind up. Mind you nothing would surprise me with that couple. Our local team Peterborough United are nicknamed “The Posh”. Victoria Beckham tried to take them to court to stop them using the name, she didn’t win.lol
No it’s not a wind up, really did try to patent the name”Posh”, backed down when it was pointed out that the team had been called Posh since the 1930’s.I take it this is a wind up. Mind you nothing would surprise me with that couple.
As one of my favourite posters I wish you the very best mate. I would love to have a pint with you some day. Best wishes, BRI will make sure tomorrow is better ?
Positive vibes and positive thinking and the promise of some alcohol tomorrow night ?
Good Lord, what is going on in her head. I have always known that they were nicknamed the Posh.No it’s not a wind up, really did try to patent the name”Posh”, backed down when it was pointed out that the team had been called Posh since the 1930’s.

Cheers. Been very down myself for a few weeks. First Christmas since my Mum died. Dad and my brother both have anniversaries in December. Sometimes life whacks us but Spring is coming. The sun is shining and my dogs want to go for a walk!! Have to smile too! Stay safe mate.Very kind words BR, thank you.
It’s a small island and I’m sure we will one day get a catch up over a drink.
This time of year is hard for people but glad you are looking forward to a better new year mate.Cheers. Been very down myself for a few weeks. First Christmas since my Mum died. Aye. Hoping the Dubs footballers recover their discipline and also that the hurlers do something better this year. Living in Kilkenny and married to a Tipp lass makes me yearn for when we beat the Cats. Seems so long ago. This time of year is hard for people but glad you are looking forward to a better new year mate.
Lots of GAA for us to look forward to ?
Well excuse me! Armagh are away to Dublin first game and hopefully they only get their act together after we get something out of the match. I have great time for Armagh too. My Dad was a proud Cavan man who always supported any Ulster team.
Gearóid shares my surname although no relation. We originated in Drumkeeran Co Leitrim. My Great Grand father moved to Cavan as Master of a national school. He married locally...a Sheridan!Well excuse me! Armagh are away to Dublin first game and hopefully they only get their act together after we get something out of the match. Dublin hurling seems to have plateaued to me after the surge of a couple of years. Ain’t nobody touching that Limerick team for a while yet though.
Great win for Cavan over Tyrone on Tuesday- that pleased me greatly ?
I was looking at an address in Leitrim just before reading that (Drumshanbo) funny enough.Gearóid shares my surname although no relation. We originated in Drumkeeran Co Leitrim. My Great Grand father moved to Cavan as Master of a national school. He married locally...a Sheridan!
His son succeeded him as Master of the same school. Very proud of my roots in Connacht and Ulster but born and reared in South Dublin. Hence the Rovers and Dubs allegiances. Dad loved Cavan, Everton and Rovers.
Yes, a great result for Breffni.
Married to Tipp and on my mother's side loads of Tipp blood. If you Google the Curragh Executions in the Civil War you will find her uncle, James O Connor. He was born in Kildare but my Great Grand parents moved to Tipp. Long story but huge history of working on the railways. Mam's grand parents were from Golden before moving to Dublin.I was looking at an address in Leitrim just before reading that (Drumshanbo) funny enough.
Strong roots indeed in 3 of the provinces BR so I take it you holiday in Munster to complete the set ?
