Confirmed Signing Anwar El Ghazi

This signing makes no sense. We are crying out for a centre half who can defend or a central midfielder. Instead we’ll sign some one who can’t get in villa’s team, in a position that doesn’t need strengthening. If the rumoured reports of a 15m fee are true, then benetiz has clearly lost the plot.

Looks like it doesn't it?

It's the only rational reason I can think we're signing yet another winger despite Gordon looking like he fits in the first team now.

Got to wonder what poor Tony is thinking about this news? He was just giving Benitez praise and seemed to be the only player willing to do so recently. If Benitez loses his backing too it could be numbered days for him with the squad.

I’d rather we had looked to take a centre half on loan rather than another winger. Keane clearly struggling, Mina unreliable.

Richarlison will go, maybe Mina too. I wouldn’t be surprised at one or two bids for DCL either.

I assume if this lad comes in, someone in the wide positions is off? It won’t be Gray or Townsend and Iwobi is at AFCON so Richy or Gordon?

Maybe El Ghazi in on loan and Gordon out somewhere on loan? Probably not a massive difference in quality but Gordon gets to go and play regularly and hopefully comes back better for next season? If Richy wants off in the summer and El Ghazi does an ok job, and we agree the £15m option it could be decent business.

Obviously we’re Everton so it won’t be.

I've said it before but give the transfer reigns to some 18 year old Stats Nerd and we'd be lightyears better off

Gordon does not need to go out on loan, he’s playing regularly here and developing very well.
