Threat of villa

I'm hoping he does well enough to get the LFC job (although they'd be mad to give it to him) but just tomorrow come on you Seagulls!
It'll do him no harm to get a drubbing after shooting fish in a Scots barrel these last couple of years.

If Villa go out tonight the season is a bit dead for them, lose this and I cant see them being as eager to pay 25 for Lucas.
Too far out for Europe, safe from the drop, mid table

Think that’s a bit narrow minded of Villa if they cool off on Digne cause of the FA Cup.

Digne is a vast improvement on Targett, and if someone of Dignes stature comes up and is interested in coming, you don’t really pass him up, even if he’s been regressing for 18-months.

I’m sure Villa with their attacking mindset will be just what Digne needs and they know it, hopefully to the tune of £25m though.

The only team going places in the Midlands is Wolves. They have a plan in place, have built a decent squad and improve it with quality. They're also upgrading their ground again, and already have a stadium full of executive facilities to milk the corporate crowd. A club who had a boyhood fan as an owner who actually made solid decisions while avoiding the spotlight, got them in the right shape after a stint flirting with non league football.

Wolves will end up hamstrung by the hit Chinese markets have received as we’ve seen
Full credit to Bruno Lage though, who’s done an amazing job this season.

I see Wolves by large on a downward trend. Villa by contrast, are at the crossroads of whether they want to go down the “Everton” way or not.

Rich, “ambitious” owner, win now strategy, big name to attract big players… said in the other thread, Villa have 3 years to get it right I think.

They're 3 points above us and we have a game in hand.

Yeah, they've defo overtaken us. Clearly so.... :coffee:
The way the clubs run, the signings being made ect. They are moving in one direction we are heading in another.
Leicester, West Ham and now villa. If Newcastle avoid relegation we have a lot of competition
