Got this from Goal.com quoted from Spainsh press - seems to show the contract situation (sort of)

The Dutchman has one more year to run on his contract with the Bernabeu outfit and is currently assessing his options as the transfer window gets set to close.

The 24-year-old, who returned to Madrid in the summer following a season-long loan at Hercules, has been training separately from the first team.

It is believed that Galatasaray are unwilling to pay any fee for the left-sided player, which may result in Real Madrid terminating the player's contract by mutual consent.

Looks like a loan then. He'll be free to sign a big deal with a club in January.

Next up we've got Villa at home. If that N'zogbia is going to have any effect on the game then he'll have to pass the Dutchie on our left hand side.

Sorry. I'm using it on the preview though so you can do one.
