The rain, it raineth every day
236 all out, looks like Australia won't enforce the follow on.
Respite from Everton for myselfLike watching Everton this.

Your far too cynical for this forum lolSome might say that the follow on was not enforced to get a full crowd in all day for day 4 - but I couldn't possibly comment
Or maybe to give the Aussie bowlers a rest
Or not cynical enough - depending who you askYour far too cynical for this forum lol
enforcing the follow on is keeping alive the only way realistically England could win, getting a decent enough lead to make the Aussies bat last on a wearing pitch. No chance now, England have been very poor throughout so don't deserve anything. Selection has been poor, poor discipline win batting, dreadful fielding. This isn't a good Aussie side but christ England are making them look good and giving them confidence. Some might say that the follow on was not enforced to get a full crowd in all day for day 4 - but I couldn't possibly comment

Australia,as a general rule, don’t enforce the follow on. Yes it allows the bowlers a rest, but you don’t want to be batting last on Australian pitches. Some might say that the follow on was not enforced to get a full crowd in all day for day 4 - but I couldn't possibly comment

the England players don't look like they want to spend any amount of time batting on any Aussie wicketAustralia,as a general rule, don’t enforce the follow on. Yes it allows the bowlers a rest, but you don’t want to be batting last on Australian pitches.
from a media point of view it could give a one sided game a 180 degree turn around. Bat again, post a mahoosive lead and skittle them out with a day to go.Aussies and pretty much everyone else tbf will never ever enforce a follow on unless there is absolutely no alternative. Even then they'd probably only seriously consider it before deciding to bat again anyway.
That old saying once burnt .....has been well learnt by the Aussies - past experience tells them enforce at your peril. England have enforced more than once and gone on to lose, enforcing has very little going for it and is only held up as such a great option by the idiots who populate the TMS commentary box, they love to recommend following on knowing any bad repercussions won't be felt by them
Only 3 sides in history have enforced the follow on and gone on to lose the game. England weren't one of them.Aussies and pretty much everyone else tbf will never ever enforce a follow on unless there is absolutely no alternative.
