Hope this lad is a boss signing for that price. Gut feeling though is that this is a defensive sort of full back to replace digne , meaning we will lose creativity from the full back position.

Logically these are the only options: -

1. We have signed him as first choice left back to replace Digne and we are going to sell Digne for more than 20 mil to help with our FFP struggles;
2. We have signed him as a backup for Digne and have no intention to sell Digne and Mosh has gone on a bender and decided to screw the FFP rules and accept the breach with a hefty fine to keep his dinosaur manager happy

What the turnover does is ease our FFP issues short term. We’ve already paid the cost of digne over his contract and those losses are in previous accounts.

The new players cost will be spread over a contract and so the immediate impact is limited.

The money coming in for digne will be mostly profit short term. Which gives time for previous losses to fall out of the accounts.
