Think he went there on a free mate, althougfh hes on about 50,000 a week so your right about the waste of money! What a player he could have been though, sad really but you gotta laugh when it happens to the Norwegians!
 

kewell wont be on 50 000 a week where ever he moves.

and nyone who would not take him on a free if the wages were right is a total idiot. there are very few left out and out wingers who come close to him.
 
Yep and we got one. His name is Andy Van de Meyde. If you think about it, they are almost identical. Bags of talent. Never uses it. Then when they do finally get themselves fit enough, they get injured all over again. I think my 3 year old has more time playing in the premiership than those two combined.

kewell and van de meyde are light years apart in talent and attitude.

kewell has play hundreds of games in the premier league, and has been a standout on the international stage for over a decade.

the only similarity between the two are the injury concerns.
 

There are more similarities than you think. A don't think Kewell is a good person to begin with. Do we need to break out the history on his transfer from Leeds and his court case against Gary Linekar?

Not bad when he is healthy and not crocked. But he stays on the training way table to much. Might require big wages.

Besides I think to much of a uproar would develope from the common fan on him moving over. It would near Rooney like proportions.

So all in all not a Moyes type. Lets give Babel a go.:D
 
Apparently its been in the Turkish press this morning:

Australia international Harry Kewell is ready to anger every Liverpool fan in England and make a move from Galatasaray to Everton, according to reports from Turkey this morning. Kewell has been sensational for Gala this year and are braced for an offer for the winger.

If reports are to be believed, Kewell will join Everton for 1.5 million GBP and will be offered a 2 year contract at Goodison Park.

These reports suggest that Kewell is missing England despite some success with Galatasaray, and is keen on a return to the Premiership.

David Moyes could make an offer for the Aussie after he returns from the World Cup.

He'd anger every Evertonian in England as well.
 
Not saying we should go there but he seems to have pulled up his socks in Turkey, albiet not at Prem Level:

1st season he started 37 games and scored 13 goals

2nd season he started 28 games and scored 14 goals
