No we won't

Can't believe we've already had our first relegation shout of the year !

We said the same things under Koeman and Silva. The quality drop off is absolutely massive.

DCL and Richarlison are forwards who could play for almost any team in Europe. Salomon Rondon would struggle to get into the sides at the bottom of the table.

Allan and Doucoure are very good premier league midfielders. Tom Davies and Gomes would not get into any other premier league team and have been dominated by Rotherham and QPR last time they were paired. I’m not convinced that there isn’t numerous championship midfields who could run all over them easily.

Yerry Mina, Godfrey, Digne are decent defenders. The players replacing them are distinctly average.

Pickford is a decent keeper. Begovic is a disaster.

If too many of the names on the left aren’t available we end up with a first team of players who are not very good, and then god knows what the bench looks like. The prem is absolutely brutal and you can get edged out in every single game if you don’t have your quality players which is where we were heading under Koeman and Silva.

It only takes one of Gray or Townsend to get an injury or suspension and it’s unlikely we even score from open play in some games with a forward line of Iwobi Rondon Gordon with Davies pulling the strings behind them (aka getting ran all over and not seeing the ball at all)

We were nowhere near relegation and wont be again.

A relegation shout after 14 points from 8 games may be the most kneejerk relegation shout in GOT history.

Digne is 100% getting injured at some point, nothing more nailed on in the history of planet earth.

There’s no doubt in my mind we would have been relegated under Koeman and Silva had we not changed managers. Definitely under Koeman who was utterly hopeless whereas Silva was very unfortunate with injuries (like every Everton manager is)

It's extremely hard to get relegated in this league because there are 5 or 6 appalling teams every season. There is no doubt in my mind that we would have done more than enough to stay up under both those managers, and they were poor.

We are midtable and irrelevant. A million miles off relegation, just like we're a million miles off challenging.

If another team was putting out this line up most weeks of the season would you say there’s a chance they’d be struggling in the bottom half?

Begovic

Coleman Holgate Keane Digne

Davies Gomes

Townsend Iwobi Gordon

Rondon

That’s got relegation written all over it and that’s currently only injuries to Allan Mina Pickford and Gray away (two of which we know are very injury prone anyway, Pickford has already missed games this season as well)

If DCL and Richarlison stay fit all season then we’ll probably be top half but people are forgetting that they were both there when we were losing game after game under previous managers. This isn’t a good group of players, we all know this, ensure sloppy and their heads go down immediately. The entire team is carried by about four or five players and at the moment three of them are out injured.

We have a team full of injury prone players (and I mean FULL) and people are somehow saying our injury record is bad luck.
DCL, Richarlison, Allan, Doucoure, Gomes, Mina, Coleman, Digne, Townsend. That is literally 9 of our best starting 11 that are regularly injured. As a club we are just reaping what we sow with our shocking recruitment.

Bottom half and relegation are completely different things. It would take one of the worst jobs in the history of football for a manager to take us down. It's extremely hard to get under 35-37 points in this league.

I said not too long ago when we were beating Norwich and drawing with United that we need to get to safety ASAP and then go from there.

I dont think the majority of our supporters realise how vulnerable Brands and Ancelotti/Silva/Koeman have left this club.

I said in the summer it was absolutely essential we got Delph and Gomes out and replaced them with someone reliable, but it’s just another in the litany of Brands failures.

If nobody wants to buy them that’s hardly Brands fault is it.
If Delph and Gomes were playing for someone else would you be happy to see them come here?
