Morning Messy, hope you had a good night’s rest in your own bed. Wishing you a good day, today.?
Yes, second that. Great to be home.Morning Messy, hope you had a good night’s rest in your own bed. Wishing you a good day, today.?
Messy, I’m glad to hear you are back home and hopefully by the time you read this post you are more settled at home and have rested well (there is nothing like sleeping on your own bed)
You are indeed one of the chosen ones and Everton has been lucky to have you as a fan.
We have something else in common, besides our love for Everton, my passion for football began in the 1990 WC. I actually watched almost every match and ever since I have had this great love for the sport.
It was lovely to hear you story on how you became a football follower and an Evertonian. Want to share more with us? Have you ever play football? Or any other sports? I’ve never really play football, growing up in Colombia women football wasn’t something that was actively promoted when I was younger, instead I did synchronized swimming for a short while. I’m really clumsy too so I probably wouldn’t have done well with the ball anyway lol
I'm sure it is tougher to deal with everything just by yourself but being home also brings that feeling of comfort that it is impossible to feel in the sterile hospital environment. Hopefully your friends, family and neighbors are willing to give you a helping hand but if they don't automatically then don't hesitate to ask. Sometimes people want to help but just don't know how, so giving them some direction is at times what they need to make things happen.I'm home and it's good to be in familiar surroundings and also not be interrupted every 2 hours. I think everything is still going to be tough but at least I'm where I want to be.
No I never played I have two left feet and was physically smaller than the other boys my age as well.
Yeah 1990 WC was what caught my attention. I used to watch the matches in the afternoon and evening. My special moment was David Platt scoring in the last minute against Belgium. I also remember Roger Milla and his crazy dance. If I remember correctly Cameroon put Columbia out after a bit of extravagant goalkeeping from your goalkeeper. Then England only just scraping through against Cameroon. After that though the unclosed chapter began England and penalty shoot outs in big tournaments. Losing to Germany was bad but I never thought 31 years on we would still be struggling with them.
Hello @messymascot, how’s the form today?
Evening Karl, how's things today?
Hopefully you're feeling better now you've settled back at home x
Hi Messy, just checking in to say I hope you are ok. Best wishes as always ?
Hi Messy, hope you're OK today and being at home has automatically made you feel a bit better x
Also I loved the Italia 90 World Cup. I was on a girlie holiday in Rhodes for the first two weeks of it. Fond memories of watching the matches in bars in the warm Greek evenings drinking cocktails/beer/wine...and just having a magical time. Best World Cup ever!
A pain free day with plenty of rest is just what you need. You didn’t get much sleep in hospital and you have to play catch up remember.Just lay in bed all day. I'm hoping its just my body adjusting to the medications and I'll start being able to do more than just sleep. The good side is there has been no pain so it might just be a case of reducing my pain meds slightly and then I'll feel less tired. Also there is no sport so hopefully when the F1 and that starts up at the weekend it might help me. I've never really been a big fan of international qualifiers and friendlies.
How are things for you boys?
All good thanks. Wondering what's going to happen with the Ashes tour.A pain free day with plenty of rest is just what you need. You didn’t get much sleep in hospital and you have to play catch up remember.
All good with me thanks, not much planned tonight.
You only think you aren’t a fan of internationals, you should try supporting Ireland.

I'm good mate, pretty much finished the wet room I've been working on and spent the last 10 minutes crying at the Wonky Donkey.Just lay in bed all day.
