This seems to be a cultural thing. On this side of the pond, players paid max/superstar money on a contract have different expectations than guys on, say, a midlevel exemption in the NBA.
The weird thing about this is that I don't think you lot are consistent about it. Posts in the Sigurdsson thread suggest that many posters would be fine-ish with his production if he'd come in at 20 million pounds, but as a club record signing he's obviously a massive disappointment.
Been linked to the UAE, Russia and Greece so hopefully he'll be sold.

Arsed about a fee, but one would be nice, obvs. Had such high hopes when he signed, but he is one of those players that just isnt suited to the PL. Not his fault, it is just the reality.
Yeah a fee would be nice for the books, I imagine they're more concerned about the wages.
I agree. Lovely first touch and a bit of skill. Zero strength, little pace, gave the ball away a lot and fell to pieces in the box. I suppose it was worth a go.

It'll be a shame to see him go, I really like Bernard, skilful footballer and seems like a good guy but maybe just a bit too lightweight, there's plenty of players I'd like to see leave before him anyway, Iwobi I'm looking at you
