Cycling thread

I dislike the team that tries to insult our intelligence by claiming their success is down to marginal gains like fluffy pillows and no Nutella at breakfast
Imagine thinking that no nutella at breakfast was a marginal gain LOL.

Weight loss is the gross-est gain any cyclist can possibly make and no drug could even approach the performance enhancement of losing 12% of bodyweight, which is what Froome shipped from turning pro to winning a GT.

We are of course free to speculate as to what drugs he used to lose that weight.

You can't rule out Anorexia Athletica, but I'm sure he frequented the supplements as well.

Let's hope the rime limit is generous today.
A double ascent of the Ventoux is going to be a nightmare for all the non climbers.
Weather fortunately not as hot as it can be, 27° and partly cloudy.

It's calculated on a set formula isn't it depending on difficulty of stage and average speed of the winner.

I'm sure the groupetto will form quickly so most won't get kicked out ... but could still lose green jersey points.

from 2011 but long ago lost those white tyres. scott spark rc, was a top end bike then I'd be right in thinking that it's still better than a lot of 'new' bikes ? (under a grand) everything fine on it he tells me & lets face it it's hardly likely to be pushed anywhere near any of its limits. I have to find better than I got the Mrs, just a bit of a drive that cba with.
