Italian Radio from last night. Listen from 14:45 onwards. Unreal, love the italian passion.

JORGINHOOOOO CHE VALTIRAAAA SIAMO IN FINALEEEEEE

England will need an early goal tonight, if Denmark score first they'll go full Arsenal (have ball, get tackled, dive, get free kick, repeat).

That Wales game was never a 4-0 game, Dolberg will go down like a sack of shh at every opportunity.

Feeling fairly sure that England are going out tonight
Look at the England team man for man. They really aren't exceptional at all. The two holding MFs are basically Championship players. The back four have mistakes in them when facing class opposition. The GK - I have no need to remind you - can unravel in an instant. The forwards are dangerous, for sure. But overall this is not a team to be feared. Denmark and Italy are both a cut above.

I expect England to fold tonight.

England 0-2 Denmark.

Italy were unimpressive last night (losing that LB really hit them it seems) England should win the final fairly easy.

They still managed to beat a decent Spain side and both teams are better at intricate passing between the lines than England. There may be 1 out of 10 where England show up and everything goes their way so they win comfortably, likewise same for the Italians. The 8 in-between will be tight cagey affairs as finals between fairly evenly matched teams often are. I don't think easy comes into it.

Colour me surprised.

They are a decent team, with really good players. Will they win? No idea, but they are in a semi on merit.

Italy yes, but Denmark not so much. Tonight's semi is quite evenly matched for me. Denmark beat England and held them to a draw last year, but England have improved since - we shall see what we shall see about this one. Italy look very effective though and for me (anyway) are the side of the tournament so far - got to be the favourites for the whole thing.

However, I don't think there has been an exceptional team this tournament that are clearly head and shoulders above the others. There have been several highly competent teams which made it feel winnable for a number of teams including both of tonight's teams.

This England team seem to be working together to the best of their abilities, which is unfortunately not something I have thought so often in a lot of tournaments. Win or lose, that's all you can ask of a team.

I heard Southgate has a pair of lucky pants which are giving England the edge. Refuses to wear any others.Screenshot_20210707-092559_Chrome.webp

France were that exceptional team...they just couldn't get their act together to be focussed.

They are head and shoulders the best in the world in terms of individual talent in all positions.
