How will the fact that Kean is going back to PSG on loan affect our transfer business? I thought he had to be sold for us to be allowed to spend??
Unsure. I’m guessing James likely going and can see Richarlison maybe heading off this summer. I’d like to hope if Kean is going on another dry loan that Raiola is going to do us a favour somewhere along the line. Unlikely mind you!

I think a lot might be made of Gbamin.

He could be a key element to our midfield with his defensive strengths.

If we play 5-3-2 using Digne and attacking right wing back, Allan - Gbamin - Doucoure would be a very strong and physical midfield.

My biggest worry would be where is our creativity because I don't think Benitez will be a fan of James or Richarlison.
Hope i’m proved wrong but with those successive injuries gbamin will do well to carve out a career in the top flight never mind be a ley player in a top premier league team

Like Boras, Raiola only believes in those when they are done for him. Reciprocity is not a word in his lexicon.

They're both exactly like Pesci's character in Casino.

Once again though some of the top 6 are making moves. United looking in pole position for Sancho, Liverpool getting Konate, Arsenal looking at Locatelli. City making noises on Grealish and Kane.

Meanwhile I’ll doubt we’ll spend more in total in the whole window than the fee for one of these players. If we do it’s looking likely to be later on now because of the managerial change.

We’ll then get the usual moaning about why can’t we go toe to toe with these teams or out play them on their own patch with free flowing attacking football. Haven’t people twigged on yet that they’re operating in a completely different stratosphere to us.

Even Liverpool, the self titled poor man of the group, are now throwing around 40 mill fees like it’s standard: Jota, Oxlade Chamberlain, Keita, Konate, Van Dijk, Mane, Salah, Fabinho, Allison - all players above that level of spending. Meanwhile that is pretty close to our record purchase with only Siggurdson and maybe Richalrison anywhere near it.

I'm not thinking he is the final piece of puzzle but I am see him having more of a future than Davies or Delph.

Gomes is a different case, I can see him being a favourite of Benitez but personally i'd like to see Onyango given more time.

Best not to factor in Gbamin as a consistent first 11 player...potentially not James, Allan or Mina either...injuries are preventing them from starting 25+ games.

Why wouldnt you think Richarlison wouldnt be a favourite of Benitez? Id say the opposite, he loves his wide forwards who are able to defend as well as attack...Dirk Kuyt for example.

Pickford
Godfrey
Digne
Doucoure
Richarlison
DCL

Those are the untouchable 6 i think and he'll look at building around them.

If we sign 5 starters then we'll have an 11 and the depth to go with it.

“Making enquiries” LOL. Proactive as ever M-dog.

Seems very odd to fly to Holland in a pandemic to make enquiries.

Either on a call or you'd be going there to speak face to face with a player.

If we loan Kean out again to one of the richest clubs in the world, then we need to ask serious questions about Marcel Brands.

Depends on the deal...what if its a £10mil loan fee...

If Brands actually sold some players for once then we could spend more :)

He signed Gomes, Iwobi and Delph for circa £58mil...

@ToffeeTim sorry i just saw it now...

€35mil option to buy for Kean and another loan???

You either:
Sell
loan for a fee
Loan with an obligation

What is an option going to do for us...it massively favours PSG...
